If you've only used foam blocks, then you're in for a real treat when you try a cork block. It provides a firm, stable platform, which feels like you're hand is actually on the floor, so you can concentrate on your pose. These blocks are great for yoga. The cork is my favorite material - firm and solid like wood, but without hard edges and not slippery on a wood floor, like the best attributes of a foam block. The only drawback is that they are heavy; foam blocks are better if you're traveling with them and need to carry your bags.Customer Review: Good Blocks

A friend recommended Hugger Mugger products so I decided to try these blocks.
They are very comfortable to use on my hands and under my legs, the cork is solid and offers good support. Good edges that do not dig into you and they are stable.
Good item that helps improve some of my poses.

I wasn't interested in a colored, plasticine yoga block.
Had been using a little box as a yoga block, and that's a little
precarious, this yoga block is a really nice, earthy, corky,
pliable material, I love it. It has just the right amount of give.

I only recently started Yoga, and I tried to find a "good" yoga block. This block is solid. It's very smooth and has helped during many of the harder moves such as "half moon." I would definitely recommend this over the standard foam blocks.
