Hugger Mugger has been known as an innovator of technically advanced yoga products for more than 20 years, serving yoga teachers and students throughout the world. Founded by Sara Chambers, an accomplish woodworker and yoga enthusiast, Hugger Mugger got its start after Sara started developing wooden and fabric tools to help with her practice. This is my second Hugger Mugger Cork Yoga block. I use them for restorative poses or to help me with side angle pose, etc. I use two of these blocks for down-ward facing dog when my shoulder injuries flare up. They are high quality and the company has a history of making good products and being respectful of the enviornment and of trying to maintain fair-wage practices, in case this influences your opinions. I have tried the foam blocks before, but found the different brands to be inconsistent in the size and density. I've also used wood blocks and had a fear of dropping them on my bare feet during a yoga session. The cork is lighter than a wood block, heavier than a foam block, which provides nice stability. It is also eco-friendly and smells nice and earthy. I definitely reccommend the use of blocks to maximize your yoga practice.Customer Review: Great block...

I enjoy this cork block. It is nice to use a foam alternative... I was a little worried that it would soak up sweat during a workout, but that seems to be a non-issue. Imagine, if you ever broke/damaged this block (which I doubt because it's super durable) you could throw it out in your yard waste garbage can! Not bad. There were two things that pleasantly surprised me about this product. One was the weight. It is very solid, which makes me feel really secure when using it for even the most challenging balancing exercises. The second was the feel of it. I see that others have rated this block with five stars and I couldn't agree more. This is the preferred block among any that I've tried. I don't mind that it is a bit more dense than the foam blocks, because it's even more stable and less prone to wear and tear. I am back to order a second one so I have two to work with.
