These blocks have become my favorite. I don't like the cheap "foam" bliocks, since they give in posts. The hardword ones, which I used to carry around, are too heavy. This is a good mix of firm and light in weight. Have been using a pair for a few months and haven't had any problems. Was thinking a chunk would fall off the edge or something, like a cork board, but that hasn't happened. Very sturdy. Also nice grip to them. Don't move around the floor as easily as the hardwood blocks.
If you are in a prop-heavy yoga style like Iyengar, I suggest looking at these. If anything, will make your setup a lot easier to carry around. :)

I am a huge fan of this yoga block. I recommend the cork ones simply because they are more comfortable and stable. Some people claim that they are too heavy, I honestly dont think think item weighs that much more than 1 lb. I have no problems using it whatsoever. If you are a trainer and need to transport a bag of 15 of these, I could see that getting a little heavy. Otherwise it is plenty lightweight for me.
Some people claimed that their cork block came cracked when they got it. I ordered 2 of these and had no problems. Pay the extra 1-3$ and get a cork block. It is totally worth it.

This is a nice block. I prefer a solid wood block for most poses, as they give the most stability. However, there are some poses, like a forearm stand, where I get a little nervous about using a solid wood block and knocking out some teeth or something! This is a good compromise. A very stable and sturdy block but also soft. Ok, not really soft, but certainly not like the solid wood blocks!
I love these blocks. Another advantage to them over the wood ones is that they're less slick and don't scoot on the floor as easily.
Definitely the best block I've seen on this site!

I got this yoga block as a Christmas present. I have used it many times already and it is great. It comes wrapped in tight plastic. The block had only a small feint smell of cork in it even though it was tightly wrapped in plastic. The light smell went away after less than a day. This block is slightly heavier than the common foam blocks, but for most yoga positions it doesn't matter. The yoga block feels solid and sturdy like a regular block. The block weighs 1 pound more than a foam brick according to Hugger Mugger customer service. I like the sturdy feel and sustainability of the product. When it's on sale it was actually cheaper than many of the foam blocks available. It's a great purchase!
9 months later - The cork block holds up well. Some of the cork rubs off slightly from the corners (I see the powdery bits in my bag), but the block is still in great shape. I would have no reservations about buying this product again.
