We have used several brands of hand warmers inside the pouches of our ski gloves. I found these online and they work very well -- so far, not a dead one in the bunch! I hate freezing cold fingers when I'm skiing. These warmers work great the whole day. In fact, they are usually warm when I get home some 10 hours after I start. I used it when I visit an oversee country during winter. The area has no heating system and tempuratures there were between below-zero to 30 degrees. This handwarmer is easier to use and very helpful. I just put in my pockets to help myself stay warm. And I also shared it with my families and they all love it. I used to use these when I worked in London years ago,cold evenings in the winter were no fun. A friend and myself used to buy these from the local outdoor supply store. I ordered the Hot Hands for a friend who had eye surgery and needed to keep heat on her eye for extended periods. A hot washcloth involved continuous trips to the microwave. The Hot Hands are small and easily taped over the eye, providing 12 hours of warmth. Wrapped in Seran wrap and lined with wet paper towel, they also provided moist heat. This works great for a job that requires you to be outside in the cold night air. I moved them from my gloves to my socks to wherever I needed additional warmth. They can work for 8-10 hours if exposed to the air to re-activate the charcoal. Be careful opening because if you tear into the filter, it becomes useless. They are a terrific help in staying warm.
