Description of HeatMax Hot Hands 2 Handwarmer (40 Pairs)

Made in the U.S.A. Individual Size: 2.25" x 4". Provides warmth and freedom to endure cold climate situations. Used by athletes, sportsmen, spectators and construction workers. Safe, convenient, concentrated warmth. Portable (No wires or batteries). Odorless. Disposable, non-toxic, non-flammable. Environmentally friendly. Contains all natural ingredients.
Designed for skiers, hunters, fishermen, golfers, or anyone who works or plays in the cold for long hours, the Heatmax HotHands-2 Hand Warmers are air-activated and will provide up to 10 hours of soothing warmth inside gloves, pockets or wherever you feel a chill. All Heatmax warmers are made of natural materials, including iron powder, water, salt, activated charcoal, and wood fiber. When exposed to air, these materials react together to produce heat through an extremely fast oxidation (or rusting) process. Users should allow 10 to 20 minutes for the warmers to reach their optimal temperatures.

Customer Review: Excellent product. Perfect 5
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Staying indoors or in downtown during a minneapolis winter is something cold, but certainly manageable. Taking a hiking trip or mountain biking outside the city is a different story altogether. We realized that you could easily stand for 5 minutes in the cold, but then as time goes by, it becomes really difficult. When you are dressed to bike, it just makes it colder. These hand warmers came in extremely handy during my mountain biking trip and hike. Takes some time to warm up but extremely good.

This is good for 10 hours. if you are moving on a hiking over night camp or for longer periods, this pack stands good for longer - [http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007ZF4Q8?ie=UTF8&tag=mama0f-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0007ZF4Q8]. Upto even 18 hours. Ideal for long trips and overnight stays.

Highly recommended.

Customer Review: I LOVE these!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I don't know how I managed to deal with cold weather without these "Hot Hands". I bought a box a couple of winters ago and then ran out. As they're a seasonal item, I decided this year to stock up. I bought three boxes and gave one away as a Christmas present to a very grateful friend.

I keep a couple of sets in my car and another set in my purse. They heat up within minutes and stay warm most of the day. Anytime I need to be outside in chilly weather -- walking on a Puget Sound beach, for example -- I put one of these in each front pocket of my jeans; that will keep me comfortable all day.

I don't quite understand how people wear these in their gloves or socks... seems like they'd be bulky... but for pockets they are swell. Highly recommended! I'm looking forward to using them next summer when I'm camping in the mountains.

Customer Review: Fantastic hand warmers
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

My wife is absolutely addicted to these. She has ice cold hands. Like inhuman, frostbitten, touch of death, please-don't-hug-me-with-those-things cold. These things are amazing. They really do stay warm for 8+ hours, sometimes closer to 12. They aren't super hot just holding them, but if you put them in a pocket they get almost unbearably hot after too long. You can adjust the heat by balancing in-pocket versus out-of-pocket time. Worth every penny, have already bought a second box of these.

Also, just to clarify, it says 40 pairs, which is how they're intended to be sold from a store, but each pair has 2 individually-wrapped warmers, so you can open them up and just use one each day (which is what my wife did). 80 days of warmers for that price is quite nice.

Customer Review: A must for Raynaud's and Arthritis sufferers
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

If you are not familiar with Raynayd's disease, your capallaries contract in your extremeties in cool weather or stressful periods. Suqsequently this magnifies the cold feeling and you can't warm your hands up. Gloves alone can't do the trick. Putting these in your gloves can provide significant relief for long periods!! Within minutes of opening the pouch, the small palm-sized bag of granules begins to warm - and they stay warm for 8-10 hours as advertised. On days I am in the house, I keep two in my jacket pockets and hold them when my hands start getting cold again. This is much more convenient than running warm water for five to 10 minutes over your hands to get them warmed up, then repeat every hour or two. I highly recommend these!!

Customer Review: Perfect for warmth
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Went to playoff Packers-Eagles game in Philly 2 years ago. It was a brutally cold day. Though, I was wearing long underwear, wool hat, gloves, parka, etc...I was woefully cold. It was awful.

My buddy brought 5 of these heat max warmers. He shared 2 of them with me...and they literally saved my hands. They were perfect...you just slide it into your glove or underneath your sock...and it will keep you warm in a way that even goretex gloves can't.

Since then, I have kept a few as "reserves" in my down jacket. Sometimes use them at a cold baseball game, or while skiing.

Can't go into winter without them.
