Sports reviews of HeatMax Hot Hands 2 Handwarmer (40 Pairs)Customer Review: More than just warming your hands and last much longer!!! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought the hand warmers, hand/body warms and toe warmers. So far I have used the hand warmers and toe warmers. I'd like to share some of the tricks about the hand warmers from my own experience.
1st, if you are debating which to buy: hand warmers or hand/body warmers to warm up your hands, I'd recommend hand warmers. It is half of the cost of hand/body ones as they come in pairs. I keep them in my gloves and they are sufficient to keep my hands warm all day long.
2nd, I found that the hand warmers would lose a bit of their power when I was in -10F degree outside for a few hours. The best way to revitalize the heating power is to leave them in your gloves when you are temporarily in door and don't need to wear the gloves. The gloves will keep the heat inside. When you put on your gloves again, you will find the warmers are really toasty.
3rd, I found that the warmers last all day and all night long. Once I come home from a whole day sightseeing in -10F, I put them underneath my blanket in bed. By the time I go to bed, the bed/blanket around the warmers were toasty. Such a treat for my cold feet. In addition to putting them around my feet, I also place them under my lower back when sleeping. It feels very nice when warmth penetrate my back. The heat normally lasts all night long and they still feel warm in the morning. The only warming is that they can get really hot under the blanket. Sometimes, it is so warm/hot in my blanket that I can't sleep anymore, then I just shovel/kick them out of my blanket.
Customer Review: Great on a cold day!!! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I was at work one day. I work retail and our store is always FREEZING due to them not wanting to turn the heat on in order to save themselves money. I went into work one morning while it was -7 degrees outside. My store was obviously not as cold as outside, but like I said they refuse to turn on the heat so it's pretty cold in the store as well.
Anyway, I was standing at my register waiting for customers to come by. While waiting another employee asked "Are you cold?" and I replied that I was and that my hands were the most cold, so she handed me hot hands, which immediately wowed me! It was so warm the second I put my hands on it and it really helped me out between customers for quite a number of hours. She allowed me to keep it, thankfully, so I was able to see how long it would last. It lasted throughout my entire shift and basically the rest of the day.
I plan to buy more of these because normally my hands get dry and start to bleed when they are exposed to cold air for too long at my job (yes, I know it sounds crazy that my store is this cold. Trust me, I believe it is crazy as well to force employees and customers to stand it ... I get customers complaining to me every day that it is too cold in the store). But anyway, I just have to tolerate the super cold air in my store. If I purchase these and use them each time it'll help me out quite a bit. I highly recommend these to anyone who has to put up with exposing their hands to cold air for long periods of time.
Customer Review: "Daddy, can you take us sledding?" is now *much* more enjoyable. Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
My 5 and 10 year old daughters just love me to take them sledding and snowman-building in the winter. I always found that even with gloves and socks, their hands and toes (and mine too) would eventually start to feel cold. But with these handwarmers, that problem has been eliminated. They are beautifully simple to use; just open the packet, take out the handwarmer and shake it, and put it in your glove or sock. You start to feel the heat surprisingly quickly, and it is a *great* feeling on a cold, snowy day. My kids love them too. I know that you can also buy toe-warmers but we bought the handwarmers before we knew about the toe-warmers, and the handwarmers work fine as toe-warmers.
The heat lasts a long, long time. I'm not sure how long, but we have never been outside long enough that they started to get cold. And we are usually outside for a good hour or too.
I also like to take along a few extras in my coat pocket, just in case the kids lose them, or in case we happen to meet one of their friends who would like one. They are nice and small and light, so this is easy to do.
Highly recommended.
Customer Review: Cold fingers no more! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
We've used HeatMax hand warmers for years and love them. When we lived in Connecticut our kids would keep them in their gloves while they played in the snow. Now that we live in North Carolina it doesn't get so bitterly cold but we still use them. They fit in gloves and mittens, but we like them best in our coat pockets. They last all day long and are plenty warm without being too hot.
We haven't had any problems with "duds" in our years of using them, and haven't even tried another brand because we like these so much. After several hours, if they seem to be cooling down, we take them out and massage them to reactivate them.
I buy this 40-pack box because we seem to go through them pretty quickly in the winter. I also keep a few packages in the car so we will stay warm if we break down somewhere. They would also work well in an outdoor emergency if you had several of them to tuck into your clothes.
With free Amazon SuperSaver shipping and Prime shipping, these are a good value for our family.
Customer Review: These really work! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I live in the Pacific Northwest, and my husband is a Carpenter. He suffered a massive heart attack a year ago September, and we were worried that he wouldn't be able to continue his trade anymore - particularly because the winters here in Washington are absolutely frigid. For Christmas last year, I purchased a case of the HeatMax HotHands-2 warmers for him. It was the single best Christmas present I could've bought for him. They keep his hands warm (he even puts them in his socks to keep his feet warm!) for hours, and now everybody on his construction crew is buying them. Productivity is up on the job site, and even better, my husband doesn't come home from work all grouchy because he's so cold!
By the way - even our children use these hand warmers! Our daughters put them into their pockets and gloves, and when they're at school on the playground, or standing in line waiting to go in from recess, their hands are kept nice and toasty!
What an excellent product!!
