I use 4 of these warmers every time I go out deer hunting in the cold. I generally sit for up to 7 hours at a time, and when the air temperature is below 30 degrees, these are invaluable in allowing me to stay on the deer stand. I really like the fact that they produce 18 hours of warmth, as I am often in the field for over 12 hours at a time.

I use one in each boot, right under my toe area, and in the palm of each hand. These are the areas that get cold when you are outdoors in cold weather, and if you can keep these areas warm, your entire body will feel warmer. I sometimes place on on the back of my neck on really cold days.

I like the 18-hour warmth produced by these warmers. I have used other warmers, and have always come back to these. I think they are the best on the market.

They do come in different sizes. I select the larger size because I want more warmth rather than less. The larger size has not proved to be an issue in terms of bulkiness. I suppose if you wear really close-fitting boots, you may want to use the smaller sized version. I use pack boots and they fit easily in the toe area with room to spare. Even in my gloves, the warmers do not interfere with the operation of my rifle.

I could not hunt as long without these warmers. They have become an essential part of my deer hunting gear. Highly recommended for hunters, and of course ice-fishermen and women.

The highly portable and air-activated Heatmax Hand and Body Warmers are a use-anywhere solution to the frigid cold. Keep a couple in your car, first aid kit, or backpack for emergencies, or use them as a regular staple during any cold-weather activities, including skiing, hiking, hunting, fishing, or working outdoors. Designed to last for up to 18 hours, the Heatmax Hand and Body Warmers provide safe, comfortable warmth in the coldest of temperatures, and they also are excellent alternatives to bulky electric heating pads for treating arthritis, back pain, or muscle pain. The four by five inch packets can be placed in pockets, between layers of clothing, or directly where you need them.

Heatmax warmers are odorless, disposable, non-toxic, and nonflammable, so you can use them without worry. Made of natural materials, including iron powder, water, salt, activated charcoal, and wood fiber, the warmers are . The packets are simple to use. When you open the wrapper exposing the contents to air, the materials react together to produce heat through an extremely fast oxidation (or rusting) process. Users should allow 10 to 20 minutes for the warmers to reach their optimal temperatures, and can count on warmth for up to 18 hours.
