Description of Harbinger 1250 Training Grip WristWrap GloveSpecifically designed for men, this pair of Harbinger training grip gloves is ideal for frequent lifters and all-around weight trainers. The gloves are distinguished by a set of TechGel? comfort pads, which mold comfortably to your hands to protect them from the stresses of active training. The unique Comfort Tech fabrics, meanwhile, remain supple and comfortable even after cleaning. And lifters will love the patented WristWrap® technology, which improves a lifter's ability to lift heavier amounts of weight over a longer period of time by maximizing comfort and support. A final detail includes extended fingers to maximize hand protection. Note: the gloves should be hand washed to remove salt and oils and preserve the original fit.
Sports reviews of Harbinger 1250 Training Grip WristWrap GloveCustomer Review: Great for wrist support. Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
I purchased these because my left wrist tends to hurt a little when i put a little weight on it. I can definetly tell the difference, my wrist is fine when i am wearing them and they are comfortable.
Customer Review: Great Gloves, Sized SMALL! Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
Wonderful gloves! Good padding and support, however they tend to run a little small, so please insure you order one size up. Thanks.
Customer Review: works but wears out Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
work real well but also wear out real quick. lasted like 6 months then fell apart.
Customer Review: Ditch the ugly brown color! Sport shop rating: 3 Stars
After years of training with various gloves, I settled on the Harbinger 1250s.
I have been through about 6 pairs of them... typically swap them out after about 6mths of constant use (wish they lasted longer).
The good:
- The padding on these gloves if the most comfortable I've found when throwing a lot of weight around.
- The wristwraps add a decent amount of support and are easily adjusted between exercises (doubt they'd work for wrist straps)... fewer tendon strains... carpal/tennis elbow.
The bad:
- They get hot & sweaty... always the smelliest item in my gym bag. They can be hand washed on occasion... but this drys the leather out and reduces cushioning. I might try some baseball mitt conditioner or lanolin on them.. but it could make them slippery on bars.
- The leather wears down in the palm areas after a few months... and some of the padding becomes compressed.
- These gloves are hard to remove... but that is typical of most of the gloves I've tried.
*** Here's what I personally hate: this model came out in a b*tt ugly brown & black style recently... and its the only one I can find. Dozens of the brown ones have been sitting on store shelfs at local retailers (gathering dust according to at least one salesperson I spoke with). I figured I'd try ordering black/black gloves from Amazon... but was shipped the brown ones! I noticed Amazon still allows selection of black/black gloves... don't know if they actually have any in stock. I don't dress fashionably or have matching outfits and am the polar opposite of metro (think grungy gym rat)... but still hate the new color of these gloves for some reason...
Customer Review: Harbinger represent good quality products (most the time) Sport shop rating: 3 Stars
Well I've being a Harbinger user for years now and normally I'm always quite please with their products but every now and then I end up buying a product like this just to regret it later. This gloves seems to be cheaply manufacture and poorly designed. I have a pair of Harbinger gloves that I bought 3 years ago and I'm thinking about keep using those even though they are falling apart. The glove it self doesn't seem that bad at first look but once you wear it you star noticing some key facts. Like the padding doesn't cover all the palm area. The fabric always get caught in the Velcro (that eventually will destroy the upper part of the glove). The straps are to thick and poorly place in the glove so you will actually have a problem trying to get them comfortably tide. Overall this gloves seem to be a cheap copy of the Harbinger gloves I already own.
