I use these for longer distance triathlons. I don't like the taste or the after taste of most sports drinks, so these are wonderful for me. I've found that if taken regularly throughout an endurance event, they help me avoid feeling depleted, and keep me feeling energized even toward the end. They got me through my first half ironman, and I'll be using them for anything longer than a couple hours.
I also have a friend who's a great runner, but has a weak stomach during endurance events and has a hard time staying hydrated and keeping down food. I recommended these, and they've helped her a TON with her nutrition during long workouts.

I spent a good chunk of time researching electrolytes for people and decided to try the Hammer capsules along with the endurolyte powder and gel. It's still a work in progress but I just did a 25 mile competitive ride over the weekend and this is the first time I didn't finish with a headache, feel totally exhausted for days afterwards and have muscle cramps that weren't related to the activity. I'm hoping that I can figure out the right combination for when it's really hot as I have no heat tolerance anymore; but I think that it's at least possible with the Hammer products - great stuff!Customer Review: Exceptional training supplement

I began using Endurolytes when training for my second marathon. These pills, which contain sodium, calcium, magnesium, vitamin B-6, and manganese work surprisingly well for elecrolyte replacement. I use them before, during, and after long endurance workouts, and they truly help me feel better througout and aid in recovery from muscle soreness. Many athletes hydrate well but fail to replenish electrolytes, which can be extremely dangerous. Endurolytes work really well and also seem to help reduce cramping and headaches during and after races.Customer Review: A real game changer

My first duathlon I tried just going at it with some gatorade on my bike and I cramped up miserably by the end of the bike portion. Since then I've started taking endurolytes before the race and during each transition along with a hammer gel packet before the race and at the first transition and I drink HEED during the bike. It makes all the difference in the world. My first duathlon I ended up with micro-tears in my calf muscles and was off my feet for a couple days. Now I can get back on the road the same day for a nice cool down.Customer Review: incredible product!

I am a triathlete and I started taking these a couple weeks ago because I am a very salty sweater. I do not usually write reviews but I found these to be so helpful I thought I had to. They COMPLETELY eliminate muscle soreness and cramping, even after very long, hard workouts. I feel like I can workout much harder now with no ill effects. I had problems with my calves cramping during swimming and taking one pill before a swim workout has also eliminated that. I would definitely recommend this product.
