I walk my dog every day and have carried Halt for about one year. Until today I never had to use it. Today a rotweiller and two other larger dogs came after my dog and me. They were not snarling but they were not being friendly either. When they did not respond to me shouting "no" I pulled out my Halt and sprayed all three in the face. All three of them immediatly turned around and ran back the way they had come. I was amazed at how well and how quick Halt worked. Our dog trainer recommended this product and I bought it to carry with me when I walked my dog or road my bike. My daughter was walking our dog when it was attached by a large, stray dog. My daughter sprayed this in the dogs face and it sedated the dog instantly and my daughter was able to go to the nearest house for help. My dog suffered some rather large wounds, but I can't imagine what would have happened had my daughter not carried it with her. She probably would have tried to intervene and got attached herself.Customer Review: Safer walking

I selected this product on the recommendation of my mail man. He said it was the best Dog Repellent they have used at the Post Office. Haven't needed to use the repellent yet, but I walk alot and sure could have used it several times in past couple years. Was attacked by large dog but managed to escape being bitten by grabbing a tree limb out of the back og a pickup truck on the street. The product ordered was delivered very fast as service was great. I agree with the other reviewers that Halt stops dogs in their tracks and they don't yelp. What they do though, is run back home and start trying to wipe the chemical from their eyes and face. When the owners see this (yes they watched the whole attack, snickering to themselves),the owners will come after you. This has happened twice to me. In one case the owner chased me with the leashed dog and released it on me and my dog to verify I had sprayed the dog. After you nail the dog, get the heck out of there.Customer Review: Worked for me!

There's an obnoxious aggressive dog who runs off its property and accosts us while we walk on the street. I repeat: we're on the street. His owner does nothing to stop him, not even use a leash. I saw the other reviews of Halt! here on amazon and decided to try it. It only took one shot to teach that little $#@!& to stay away from us. It shot accurately in the 5 to 10 foot range. His owner wasn't there at the time...too bad. The dog avoids us now! Thanks, Halt.
