What are the advantages of GolfLogix GPS versus other yardage devices?

Then follow the registration and activation screens on your computer to obtain your free golf course map. With a $29.95 annual membership, you can download an unlimited amount of golf courses worldwide (currently more than 15,000 in the database) and have access to GolfLogix product enhancements and upgrades.
Is using a GPS distance device allowed under USGA regulations?
The USGA and R&A both recently sanctioned the use of satellite-based yardage measuring devices during competition. Specifically, decision 14-3/0.5 allows a committee to permit the use of distance measuring devices by Local Rule. Golfers should check with their golf professional prior to use in a USGA sanctioned event. GPS devices have always been permitted in handicap scoring in recreational rounds.

Purchased the Golflogix in July, because I have been happy with Garmin GPS. Mistake. After problems with downloading software, I tried to contact Golflogix via e-mail and telephone. No response from Golflogix. I returned the unit under their "satisfaction guarantee" policy, and still have not heard from them. Postal receipt indicates unit was delivered to them on 08/01, and as of 08/18 I still have not heard from them. Have made two phone calls and sent two e-mails, and no response. Right now their marketing and promotions appear to be a sham. In the meantime have purchased a Sky Caddie, and am delighted with performance and customer service.Customer Review: No brag ...just fact

Saves you time ...not looking for yardage markers. And it's accurate...on the money. Easy setup and download of favorite courses...actually surprised at the number of obscure courses in their database. Can't find your favorite course?...not likely. What an amazing device ! Simple to download courses, took just a minute or so to do 10 of my locals. And the first time I used it, it worked exactly as advertised. Powered up and acquired satellites in just a couple of minutes; I clipped it to my golf bag, and was on my way. Advances from shot to shot and hole to hole automatically; yardages at my home course were just laser-measured to the foot, and this little gadget was right on the money with yardages that my club paid beaucoup dollars to have done. Wish I had known about this item before we invested big bucks in an outside survey of our course.
Our pro is considering buying them for every cart on the course, speeds up play tremendously, and even though I spray the ball a lot, it was never a problem getting an accurate yardage, even from a different fairway !
Highly recommend this device, you CANNOT go wrong with it !

Having used both Golf Logix and Sky Caddie, I think Golf Logix is FAR superior to Sky Caddie. I love the ease of use, the ease of downloading courses and the prompt responsiveness of the company when I have requested course adjustments. All in all the best golf gps out there!!
