With a $29.95 annual membership, you can download an unlimited amount of golf courses worldwide (currently more than 15,000 in the database) and have access to GolfLogix product enhancements and upgrades.
Is using a GPS distance device allowed under USGA regulations?
The USGA and R&A both recently sanctioned the use of satellite-based yardage measuring devices during competition. Specifically, decision 14-3/0.5 allows a committee to permit the use of distance measuring devices by Local Rule. Golfers should check with their golf professional prior to use in a USGA sanctioned event. GPS devices have always been permitted in handicap scoring in recreational rounds.

Item works great! Easy to download courses to your computer and then transfer to the GPS unit. Unit holds up to 20 courses. Doesn't have pictures of the green like the Sky Caddy and others but all I wanted to know was distances to front, center and back. Unit provides distances to fairway obstacles and clearance for obstacles. Overall price was better than comparable units and the yearly fee of around $30 to obtain access to all US courses also suited me better.Customer Review: golfers little helper.

This product was easy for this 70+ golfer to program. The greatest benefit is inside 120 yards for me. It eoncountered a glitch the 3rd time we used it and the rep who took my phone call had me up and running in less than 15 minutes from the time I placed the call. No problems since. The upgrading system is amazingly simple when a course is reviewed. My wife and I are more than satisfied with the product. Delivery time was amazing.Customer Review: A Bogey

I bought this based on the many good reviews, but have been disappointed in many respects. The display lacks detail and can be very difficult to see, particularly in black and white, and the maps don't contain enough course information (distance to/past hazards, etc.) to be all that helpful The user controls are not intuitive. If you're at a course with 3 nine-hole options (say playing the Mountain and Lake course but not the Valley), the unit gets confused and starts you over, puts you on the wrong course, etc. It has a proprietary plug for the computer/charger, not a standard USB-mini, so you can't use the same cord to connect as charge as other devices like your BlackBerry, cell phone, digital camera, etc. Loading courses is slow, and not 100%. I've loaded updates of courses, only to get to the course and find the one I'm playing is not on the unit.Customer Review: A STROKE SAVER

Fantastic and a sure stroke saver. I am easily saving 2-3 strokes a round with GolfLogix. What did I do before I has GolfLogix!!! Easy to use and easy to update. I play at a local Military Public course that has been known for inaccurate distances on sprinkler heads. Since using the GolfLogix GPS I am more confident on the club I select to go the distance I know is accurate. I am just a recreational golfer now, but approximate my handicap at 10. I feel I can reduce that even further using the GolfLogix System.
