Customer Review: As Advertised - A Good Bit of Kit

I thought I had done a fair bit of research mainly reading others reviews before purchasing this product, the funny thing was I tried to buy another door mounted chin up bar from Ebay but the seller basically didn't respond to communication and then eventually Ebay had the guy refund the money (they didn't even give me the satisfaction of posting some ordinary feedback, they just closed the case). This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because as soon as I found I wasn't going to get it, I found this one which actually has turned out to be a much better piece of equipment for me. To start with the price is very reasonable, the shipping was very fast (I live in Asia); the packaging was sturdy, intact and secure, thanks Amazon.
The Elevated Chin -Up Station is just that, elevated above the door, I put it on the highest setting which works well for me being 6'3", any lower like the other bar I tried to order and I'd be holding my legs up uncomfortably high. Straight out of the box I put it together in around 10 minutes, all the bolt holes lined up perfectly and was careful enough not to scratch it too much as other reviewers have mentioned. I bought it for the P90X program and weigh around 96kgs, even when reaching the end of the rep range where my form gets a little jerky the unit feels solid and I feel safe.
Overall I would have to say I am very pleased with the purchase both from Amazon's service and the product quality. One thing I have noticed is that one of the foam pads that protects the door frame is starting to tear but this is probably because I live in an older flat and the door jamb is kind of angled so the outer edge of it cuts into the foam. This was soon fixed with a little duct tape and the marks on the door are unnoticeable. Even if I broke this one somehow, I would buy it again that is of course unless I have space for work out room and a free standing unit!
