Sports reviews of GoFit Chin-Up Bar

Customer Review: Awesome Product
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I just purchased this bar for about $26 with shippin and handling. This bar is awesome. I didnt have any problems with the screws or nothing in fact they worked perfect for me. The wrong item is pictured. which believe it or not im very happy thats what it was. At first i was lyk "what the heck" but the new one has thicker mounts and instead of 3 screw holes and thin metal around is I got 5 screw holes and 4 very sturdy brackets. (2 for pull ups 2 for situps and pushups). This is a quality product and for the price you cannot beat it. Dont stutter on buying this its a good one.

Customer Review: works great for sit ups.
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I have had this product for a couple weeks now. I have only used it for sit ups as I use a beam on my deck for pull ups already. It works great for sit ups, Ive been training for the Police exams where I must do 40 in one minute, so I do them fast and hard, and this bar does not budge, holds nice and tight. Now I dont have to ask one of my sisters to hold my feet for me, I can just do them on my own.

My only complain is the screws that came with it, the heads are pretty weak and my drill ate right through them, I used my own screws and now it works fine.

Customer Review: Great but caused wall accident
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

If you're buying this item I strongly suggest you put it IN THE DOORFRAME... i placed on the walls right in front of my door --my brilliant idea to be able to do it with the door closed, and also higher to allow taller people to pass without bending their heads. However, after about three days the pressure became too much and produced a good sized hole in my wall...
Thats when I realized that the doorframe would be stronger...
I repeat...DONT BE STUPID LIKE ME! USE IT IN THE DOORFRAME!
otherwise, i like it.

Customer Review: Bar is great
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Work just as it should. I weigh about 150lbs and it didn't flex at all when using it. The mounts are a little odd, and I can't get the ends of the bar to sit completely within them, however it does not effect the functionality of the bar in any way.

--edit--

I have since moved and needed to reinstall the bar and it's now in a 36" hallway instead of a door frame. The bar still does not flex much even at this longer length, and I was able to get it to seat properly in the mounts.

Customer Review: Extremely strong chin-up bar.
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

After buying this chin up bar and reading its great reviews I decided to test its strength. I weigh about 165lbs. and the bar held me sturdily without the hardware. It also worked just as well without the hardware for my friend who is about 250lbs. Even when we both hung from it the bar held strong. I wouldn't recomend tandom pull-ups, however, because it put too much stress on the door frame. This is a much nicer product than the everlast bar. Buy with confidence.
