I bought the roller because my Physical Therapist recommended it. It didn't solve the back and neck pain that sent me to PT, but my husband and daughter loved it. The dvd gives ideas for how to use it and you don't have to view the whole thing. You can just view the instructions for the part of the body you want to target. It's kind of fun and is great for stretching/relieving muscle tension. My husband targets his gluts and back. It's the next best thing to having a massage therapist.Customer Review: Good roller

I do really like this roller, and I like that it came with a video to show me how to use it since I had never had one before. I feel like it has lost some of it's shape (is a bit squished) after not much use, and I'm not very big (about 120lbs). Some others might be sturdier. This is a smaller version of the foam rollers in my gym. It is more convenient for storage in my room, and a little softer, which is more forgiving on muscles. It's a great tool for runners and I would highly recommend it for anyone to soothe the back and tight muscles, and for core strength.
