I found it works good for loosening tight muscles. I have other brands of foam rollers in other sizes. So far mine is holding up fine after a few weeks of use and this one seems of comparable quality to my other rollers. The Miracle Ball Method: Relieve Your Pain, Reshape Your Body, Reduce Your Stress [2 Miracle Balls Included] are also helpful for muscle loosening. After my physical therapist told me a foam roller would help me with my knee pain, I bought the GoFit foam roller. The DVD that comes with it is useful, although they move through the stretches a bit fast. You can really do a lot with this though, and it helps a lot with muscle tension! I had no idea my quads and hamstrings could have knots in them, and releasing them hurt but felt good after. The size of the roller is perfect, doesn't take up too much space and I can get both legs onto it easily.Customer Review: Oh Yeah

I was a bit iffy about this product. It was highly recommended to me by my brother who used one to relieve chronic knee pain (IT band muscles) from running.
I have tried it out a few times. The video is very helpful. The exercises take a bit of getting used to. But, the thing works great. A great value.

What you see is exactly what you get--it's a piece of foam. That being said, this roller is a positive addition to your recovery period. Basically, it massages your muscles as you roll on it. The process isn't always comfortable in the beginning, but eventually it starts to feel excellent.Customer Review: Aaaaahhhh!

So much easier to "roll yourself out" with this than with the smaller bar rollers -- and it feels wonderful! The instructions and DVD make additional manuals unnecessary. I'm looking forward to trying some of the more thorough workouts recommended.
