Sports reviews of Giro Atlas II Sport Oversized Bike HelmetCustomer Review: Saved!Through a combination of inattention, innate awkwardness and gravity, I took a fall off my Gary Fisher the other day and landed flat on my back on the pavement. I completely cracked the helmet's foam shell but suffered no injury. The helmet did exactly what it was supposed to do which was sacrifice itself to save me a skull fracture. I am a nurse anesthetist and have spent many long hours in the operating room anesthetizing people with the type of head injury I'm convinced this helmet spared me from. Aside from a headache of a day's duration, I had no injury. If you bike without a helmet, please get yourself an organ donation card. If you have a larger than average head, get yourself a Giro Atlas II |
