We had bought a cheap model last year and found that no matter how long you wound it the light grew dim fast. No so with the Garrity. Once you wind it up the flashlight stays bright for a very long time. I bought three of these flashlights for when we lose power at our house. I never need to worry about batteries, with a couple minutes of winding the flashlight I get many minutes of light.
I highly recommend these power lites for anyone looking for a great flashlight, for any occasion.

It seems to work pretty well, and we are particularly pleased with the low-temperature specification of the battery. These things can be stored and used at temperatures down to -4 F. Light is great. I purchased one for every member of my family. Great emergency light. Very bright, easy to 'wind' up, stays charged a very long time, and it's very well built. I bought three of these, one for each of the cars in my family.
The brightness is good, the ability to build up the charge is simple.
This is just a good thing to have in the drawer, for emergencies.
No need to worry about batteries or bulbs. It just works.
