We bought 3. One for the house and one each for 2 automobiles. Our main purpose was that we are always running out of batteries and I hate having to purchase them. We also have rechargable batteries, that we use, but still they only last so long. We are hoping that this will solve some of our battery issues especially with the flashlights.
The units seem sturdy. We will not be using them for search and rescue ops, so I beleive they will serve fine. I like the 2 different lighting options. Cranking is easy and the charge does last a while. I charged them when they arrived a couple of weeks ago, and used one for the first time yesterday, it worked fine.
