Sports reviews of Gaiam Coreplus ReformerCustomer Review: great product for an experienced person Sport shop rating: 2 Stars
I believe the product is great if you have previous pilates experience. It was my first time and I felt completly lost and couldn't do most of the workouts. Most of the time I would just put the resistance bands aside and do the workouts without since they are very difficult. If you love a challenge, then this is probably for you... if you are a newbie then I would begin with something else.
Customer Review: PILATES Sport shop rating: 2 Stars
PROBABLY WOULD WORK OKAY FOR THOSE WHO DO PILATES REGULARLY. WITH BACK AND NECK INJURIES, THIS WAS TOO STRENUOUS AND THE PACE WAS A LITTLE TOO FAST. HAD TO RETURN IT. AMAZON IS THE BEST ON THE WEB FOR PRODUCTS, RETURNS, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND FAST REFUNDS.
Customer Review: Good product, but cord was too short Sport shop rating: 2 Stars
I'm 5'10" tall, and was afraid the band would snap if I fully extended, so I stopped. Unfortunate, because it looked like a great workout for home to mimic a Pilates studio. I gave it to my 5'5" neighbor.
Customer Review: Bands to awkward Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
I just bought this at Target today and I'll be returning it tomorrow. I popped the DVD in when I got home and tried a few of the leg moves. Maybe it's just me, but I found the band was so tight while I was trying to hold it on some of the exercises that my arm was shaking. My arms simply weren't strong enough to keep the band in place while I did some of the leg moves; and I didn't even feel like I was working my legs. The people on the tape didn't even look like they were straining, so maybe I'm just that weak.
I am newer to pilates, but I'm already in shape. I do Yoga and a lot of other tapes including P90X; yet I still wasn't strong enough on the bands. I also felt the bands in general were cumbersome and awkward as well.
Customer Review: I love Gaiam but give this product a miss Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
I had quite high hopes for this product, but was very disappointed. It is simply a hassle to use. It's uncomfortable, often slips out of place and actually distracts your attention away from paying attention to the video and performing the exercises with good form. You really are better off sticking with normal pilates videos - or, if you are looking for a bit of resistance training - try the Gaiam Pilates Body Band Kit or a resistance band video like Gaiam's Tricord video + kit featuring Charles Shand.
