Special Note:
For optimal performance, it may be necessary to re-inflate your new Balance Ball once or twice after the initial inflation. Once your chair is assembled and the Balance Ball is inflated, re-check the ball size the next day. If necessary, add additional air and check once more the following day. Your new Balance Ball may need a day or two to "stretch" to its final size (which should then fit perfectly in the base).

I bought this for my office after some recent back and especially hip problems. I knew that these problems were made worse by sitting. I did NOT want to spend 60 or 80 bucks on a chair, but my husband said, "Wouldn't it be worth it if it works?" So I bit the bullet. So glad I did!
The pump that comes with the kit is crappy, but it does work fine. I've been using the ball chair for a few months now and while my hip pain isn't completely gone, it is definitely diminished. I have just a plain yoga ball that I use at home, but I thought that would be kind of a pain at work. The wheeled feature of this chair is great! There are two "brakes" that will lock it in place, one on the left front and one on the right rear wheel. I've found that I constantly accidentally kick down the front brake - I wish it was in a little less convenient spot. I can see how the plastic piece could wind up snapping off, but so far so good with mine.
It does sit quite low - I'm 5'7 with long legs - but it's manageable. It definitely subtracts from the position of power when someone comes in the office and sits across from my desk and I have to look up at them!
No doubt, this chair feels VERY cheaply made, and I think if I leaned against the back, especially if I were heavier, the back would snap right off. But the features of the ball chair are working for me. Less frequent hip pain for sure!

My experience after using the balance ball chair the first time took me by surprise. I was hoping for improvement over time not a reduction in neck, shoulder, and lower back pain within the hour. I had concerns it would not roll on the carpet at my desk, that it would not be the correct height, and that the ball would not remain inflated. None of these problems have occured. I have searched online for an extra ball the same size to have on hand in case I need to rotate once in awhile to maintain shape and inflation, but I have not found one the same size. Given that the ball is still inflated at the same level after using the chair for over two weeks it seems an extra ball is unnecessary. The chair is so light weight it moves with me as I scoot toward the printer or a file drawer. I completely lost awareness of the chair the first day I used it. I had been struggling with my previous chair so much I now realize it was in my thoughts throughout the day as I frequently worked to readjust its position and mine in an effort to reduce my discomfort. I recommend this product along with proper ergonomic placement of the computer screen, keyboard, and mouse to improve dramatically if not eliminate body discomfort and pain while working at the computer.Customer Review: So comfortable!

I just love this chair! I use it for my desk chair at work, 50+ hours a week, constantly at the computer. I've been using it for nearly a year and my lower back problems are no longer bothered at all by the long hours of sitting.
The cushion on your "seat" is adjustable by how much you inflate the ball. If you inflate fully and it's too firm, let a little air out for a softer, more cushy seat.
The back rest is not meant to lean against....just to occasionally lightly touch your back and encourage proper posture. With this chair, I'm much more likely to sit up straight with good posture -- for which my lower back is very grateful! The ergonomic chairs I've used before have left me feeling so stiff and in so much pain at the end of the work day, I couldn't do anything after work. Now at the end of the day, my back doesn't hurt, and I feel like I've been working my core...not to the point of soreness...just strengthening it.
Other people at my office have purchased these chairs and love them as well.

After reading some of the reviews, I had my doubts on this but fortunately, I am 100% happy with the comfort and improved back posture. As someone who sits in a chair 7-8 hours a day and has suffered from lower back pain, I've been looking for something to: ease my back pain, help me with posture, and for something that doesn't cut off circulation to my legs. This chair has satisfied all 3 of those expectations easily!
This chair takes about 3 minutes to put together and is typically the same height as a standard office chair. So far so good. My back pain is gone, my neck doesn't hurt, and I feel my core getting stronger each day.
I'm very grateful for thoughtful product designs like this that focus on ergonomics rather than how it looks.
A few of my office co-workers now want them as well, and I've ordered one for home since I just cannot use an uncomfortable office chair again that causes me back pain.
A++ product. No complaints at all! :)

This chair is a backsaver! I bought it because I had been sitting on a hard wooden stool. I would find myself stooped over when I was really concentrating on work. My back would get stiff and sore and my posture was horrible. I bought this chair and it is so comfortable it takes the pressure off my lower back and I don't hunch over anymore. I find myself more energized because my body doesn't need to recover after sitting for long periods of time. Also if I find myself needing a little extra energy, I bounce, and its fun. It took a bit of time (like maybe 5 minutes) to get used to. I really have to be conscience of how I sit down, I can't mindlessly plop down, I might miss and hit the floor. One beware: if you have kids, I have 4, you may need to make a "hands off Mom or Dad's chair" rule because it is very popular with them too, a ball chair on wheels how can anyone resist! Even my friends say what is that, can I try it? Everyone loves it.
