This is a very nice croquet set. It is very solid and has good wow factor. It looks great. We've played several times. The wood is not hard wood so it does show signs of use. The wickets are solid metal, tall and rectangular. The mallets are long. The bag had a bad zipper but it did not matter once the mallets were screwed together and stored sticking out of the bag. When playing the game all everyone noticed is the competition, not the equipment. I searched the web for croquet sets and this was the best for prices under $150. Amazon.com was the lowest at about $100.
