Sports reviews of Forschner / Victorinox Paring Knife, 3 1/4 in Straight, Small, Black Nylon Handle Model 40600Customer Review: GREATEST LITTLE PARING KNIFE EVER! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I love to cook and have been doing so for over 30 years now. I made a vegetable beef stew today. I could not find my usual paring knife and remembered that I had purchased this knife along with several other knives from Amazon.com a couple of months ago and decided to give it a try. Wow, was I impressed! This little paring knife seriously cut my potatoes like butter! The potatoes I used were brand new russet potatoes (not older soft potatoes) and this little knife just glided right through each potato. I highly recommend this paring knife. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Customer Review: Very useful! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This knife is deceptively lightweight, with very slim almost flexible handle and blade. It comes in a simple vinyl sleeve so at first glance it's almost cheap looking. But the minute you use it, it transforms into a precise and very effective instrument, great for delicate work that your chef's knife can't do well. This little knife is unsurpassed at paring the skin from fruits and removing pith from oranges, peppers, etc . I bought this on a recommendation by Cook's Illustrated and they are right. This knife is great value and it's a joy to use!
Customer Review: Best little knife Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
It's hard to pay shipping for for a knife that is so cheap. But it is worth it. This is the best paring knife you will ever own. The handle is plastic and very light and fits well in any hand.. The thin blade adds to the flexibility and retains a very sharp edge. I have had one for 6 months. For Christmas I bought twelve as 'stocking stuffers' (don't have the point facing up) Everyone loved them.
Customer Review: Excellent value for the quality received Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Amazon/manufacturer has raised the price on this excellent knife to a very pricey level. I got mines within the last two years. If they drop it back to below $5.5, I will say go get it. Otherwise, it is a treat for people who want good kitchen tool.
Customer Review: LOVE THESE KNIVES! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I use this knife for cutting everything! Yes, I said everything!
It's so sharp that it glides through tomato's, cheese, olives, garlic, grapes, apples. You name it.
I am giving this knife as a gift to everyone I know this year.
