My grand daughter, who was the recipient of the fishing rod was delighted when she received it this past Christmas. However, because of the nasty weather, we have not been able to use it so far. She had been wanting it for the last couple of years. It should be a fun way of getting into fishing. She as an aversion to casting because "she might mess-it-up". My father bought this fishing rod at Target for both my boys for their birthday. The first day we caught 16 fish, (bluegill and catfish). The only problem for us is that the line broke twice and we now lost a bobber that I'm trying to find and replace. I love it. I know people aren't having good luck. my 8 yr old was very excited to get this toy. We've practiced in the backyard and we're now ready for the real thing. It took me some time to figure out hor to re-string the rod after line got snagged, but I did. It only comes with one launcher thing for your line and hook, but there is a replacement for three of them for around $[...]Customer Review: Kids Love it!!

I got 2 of these for my son and nephew. They loved it. My son's 5 my nephew is 8. They had a ball with this. Easy for them to use, and it made not cathing any fish still a very exciting and fun trip. Not that the rod couldn't catch fish, it's just they wanted to reel it in as soon as it landed so they could launch it again.Customer Review: Pretty cool fishing rod

Bought this for my son and it has been a big hit! Makes fishing a lot easier, and more fun, and less worries about someone getting hurt from a wayward hook. It was easy to setup, is easy to use, and is holding up well. Great for fishing in tight spaces too as you can just aim and shoot to cast. Fun product!
