Works well and getting a tremendous amount of use. My son is around 50 pounds right now. Beware that lower metal pole gets 'greasy' after a bit of use, but that can be wiped off when needed with a paper towel. My daughter had received another pogo stick, and although it was wonderful, she just didn't weigh enough to keep it going. This one is perfect. Just the right size and she gets it out every day and tries to beat her record of hops from the previous time. Very nice quality and the foam covering is very attractive. DANGEROUS FAULTY TOY! My son is 10 years old and weighs 60 lbs soaking wet. I got him this for christmas, Within 30 minutes of use the toy flew apart sending my son crashing and pogo parts and grease flying accross the room. I am attempting to return it but so far we have not gotten any response from Amazon.
BUYER BEWARE..... THIS TOY CAN SERIOUSLY CAUSE INJURY AND HAS HORRIBLE QUALITY ISSUES.

I gave three of these pogo sticks to three grandaughters for Christmas--12, 11 and 7. They absolutely loved them, and 'pogoed' all Christmas night on the porch!. They are still going, and now,two of the grandsons, 11 and 12, are begging for them!
