I purchased two pogo sticks for granddaughters who were celebrating 7th birthdays. Both girls said the pogo sticks were "the best" and were their favorite gift. It took about one afternoon for the girls to get the hang of the pogo. One granddaughter became a pogo machine and can jump over 1000 times. The other who could only jump 11 times is now over 300. The girls jump on the driveway and in the grass. They jump frontwards, backwards, and left and right. The pogo stick has been one of my best birthday purchases. I have read some reviews that say the black tip wears out, so I told the parents to watch the tip and replace it if needed.Customer Review: MY DAUGHTER LOVES THIS

WELL WORTH THE MONEY! WHEN WE FIRST TRIED TO USE THE POGO STICK IT WAS A BIT
ON THE TIGHT SIDE, BUT ONCE YOU START MOVING UP AND DOWN ON IT, THE OIL INSIDE STARTS
TO MOVE DOWN THE POLE AND IT WORKS FINE. I STAND BEHIND THE POGO STICK WHILE
MY SIX YEAR OLD JUMPS. THIS IS UNTIL SHE LEARNS TO STAY ON. AS SHE YELLS OUT
MY BELLY TICKLES! SHE'S GETTING BETTER AT IT EVERYTIME SHE USES IT. SHE SAYS IT IS

My son, Jake, received the pogo stick as a gift when he was five. It has become his prized toy above his scotter, bike, blades, etc. He is now almost eight and I thought would want a "better" version, but his pogo stick is irreplaceable: It is very durable and lightweight (we've taken it on many vacations) It is easy to manuever(he can jump over and around anything and for close to an hour with few stops). The other pogo stick is being returned and we're buying another of this version.Customer Review: Great Toy

I bought this pogo stick back in 2004 for my 6 year old. While at the time it was probably a bit too soon for her to actually use it, she loved the idea of having one. Now, three years later she's become an expert on the thing and bounces around like a crazy woman! :) It's held up very well! The rubber piece on the bottom comes off if you use it in the grass (who needs a professional lawn aerator when you have this toy?)but goes back on securely.
Definetly worth all 5 stars.

My daughter received this pogo stick as a gift when she was five. At age six, she is still getting the hang of it, but she and her friends in the neighborhood have had a lot of fun with it. The foam cover is durable and prevents rust and dents which could render the toy unsafe. Also, the spring is covered, so there is no easy opportunity for injury to the child or damage to the spring. This is quieter and safer than the pogo stick I grew up with in the 80's!
