This is a super fun product. I bought this on a whim with some other items as we got ready for the 30" snowfall excpected in the Mid-Atlantic so my son could have some fun while the adults shoveled away. Not only does it make great snowballs, it saves your hands from getting sopping wet while trying to create your "ammunition". Are you going to an organized snowball fight? Don't show up empty handed. You will be the screamin' envy of the pack if you come with this doodad!
Only drawback, the "legs" on the device can shift, so your snowballs may not be perfectly symmetrical. But who cares? You'll be lobbing it at someone and hopefully splattering it on their shoulders within seconds :)

Ah, if only they had this thing when I was a kid. Of all the toys my 9-year-old daughter has received from not-so-well-meaning relatives, this one is the best! It makes perfect snowballs, and when the snow is wet and heavy, you can crank out a pile of them in seconds. If I had this when I was 10, I would have had an even more effective way to terrorize my two younger brothers.
When my daughter and I make snowballs with these in the park, it's never long before we have a crowd of other kids around us, watching in awe. They want one of our perfect snowballs. Then they want to try using our snowball maker. We never let them, instead we destroy them in a snowball fight!

Santa put these in all of our stockings this Christmas...My husband's,mine and our two boys. Let me tell you these make the PERFECT snowballs. My husband typically packs his to hard...and they hurt when they hit you...my youngest his typically falls apart in the air during flight...and I hate getting my gloves all wet from packing snowballs. This is ideal! The perfect snowball that is easy to make. We love these and I'm so glad that Santa brought one to each of us... ;)
If one is hesitating to purchase this item...don't...just make sure you have one for every person in the family...so one doesn't have to share...for they are amazing!

I bought the snowball and block maker for my children as Christmas presents and they haven't stopped playing with them since. The quality is great, with solid construction and simple operation of use. I expect both the snowball and block makers to last for years and even suspect they will be used all summer long in our sand box, too. I would highly recommend this product for kids of all ages--as my husband and I are having fun with them, too. Although, I may have to purchase a couple of more, because sharing is a problem especially with the snow ball maker!Customer Review: Does it job: Makes great snowballs!

This simple tool does what it is intended to do: make snowballs to the right compactness. The snowballs were neither too soft that disintegrate when thrown; nor were the snowballs packed too tightly making dangerous iceballs. From toddlers to grownups, the tool is very easy to use. Plus, its bright red color makes it very easy to find in the snow.
I would recommend getting one for each child/snowball maker; it's hard to call a "truce" in the middle of a snowball fight to borrow the snowball maker!
