Customer Review: Best Flashlight I've Ever Owned

This is, simply put, an amazing flashlight. Here is a comparison of the Fenix with my other favorite light, my Surefire G3.
G3: 80 lumens, no variable output, twist switch, more than $90 w/ shipping, uses 3 CR123A batteries.
TK10: 60 or 225 lumens, variable output, click switch, under $70 w/ shipping, and only needs 2 CR123A's.
Clearly, while the Surefire is an excellent light, it cannot compare with the Fenix, which, by the way is even made of a tougher material: aerospace-grade aluminum, instead of the Nitrolon nylon alloy of the Surefire. Also, this light made it into the #1 spot of [...] annual "Best Lights of the Year" competition for 2009.
One thing: The optional pocket clip that comes with it is poorly positioned and cannot easily grab the outside of your pocket because of the tactical ring that allows you to use the "syringe" type grip. The grip is easily removable, though, and can be replaced with an orange, smooth, reflector-type ring that is included in the package. Outside of this minor complaint, no cons.
Also, ensure you have NEW batteries for your first test, as I was a little underwhelmed with the power until I put in new batteries. Other than that tidbit of common sense, enjoy one of the brightest lights available for less than a king's ransom.

Description of Fenix TK 10 2 Level High Performance Cree LED Flashlight
The TK10 uses two CR123A batteries and maintains excellent constant brightness with two output modes: General mode, which can last for a whole night and can be used for general illumination, and Turbo mode, which can be used whenever high-powered light is needed - search and rescue, long-range target identification, etc. This flashlight is great for camping trips or other outdoor adventures that may last into the night. The TK 10 offers rugged features like a premium hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish, toughened ultra-clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating and tactical tail cap switch with momentary-on function. Included with the flashlight are a holster, lanyard, two spare o-rings, spare rubber switch boot, allen wrench, two spare screws, and copper spacer ring.Hand Tools
