We play a 6 - 10 person hold 'em game every weekend and had been using the crappy plastic chips they sell @ walmart & target. I finally broke down & bought these chips because we really wanted some heavier ones (got a few chip-shuffling junkies @ our table). I read through ALL of the reviews on amazon for poker chips & these are honestly the best deal in my opinion.. I ordered a set for myself & a set for my boyfriend, enough chips to easily have 12 people play, all for under $70. And they were delivered in time for our next game.. for free. I also found sleeves of 50 of these same chips in case you might need more of any color.
As for the 1 & 2 star reviews saying the chips are scratched or uneven or discolored or whatever your ticky-tacky complaints were.. Out of 1000 chips, the number that were unusable in our sets: 0. I have not found a single flaw, and we told everyone at our game to point out any flaw they see (still haven't found 1 bad chip). These chips are great quality, shuffle well, & stack even. Does it really matter if you are playing & find one chip has a tiny scratch on it, or the color isn't perfectly uniform? If you want absolutely perfect chips to play with, use coins. I hear they use some fancy stamp to make them all exactly the same.

I searched around for a while before purchasing these chips. I was torn between chips that looked cool and were more professional (and expensive) and chips that could just get the job done. I ended up opting for the get r done approach and bought these chips from Fat Cat. So far I've played with them in two games with friends and the results have been great. I have to say they are not as heavy as other chips I have played with, but are heavy enough to get you the feel of playing with real chips. They seem to stack even and appear pretty durable. Out of the whole box I have only found one so far that has some missing color, but no big deal. The number of each color seems appropriate also. The trays in the case aren't the sturdiest, but hey its a case, you don't play with it! I have other cards so I did not use the ones included so I cannot speak about those, but I'm assuming they will work fine as well. If you are looking to play some poker, these will let you do it.Customer Review: Great Buy for the money!!

I recently played poker with the girls for our usual last Friday of the month girls game night. The poker game we played was so much fun, I wanted my own set of poker chips. My friend had a great set of poker chips she bought for a gift for her husband. I went "shopping" on Amazon's web site. I saw this "Fat Cat" poker set for $37.75 and it looked very much like the set we had used. I ordered the set and was very surprised when it was delivered. The chips are great quality and made of clay.....very nice sturdy case and rather heavy in weight. The box was packed within a box with plenty of packing around the case. I bought this as a gift for my parents who enjoy playing poker. I saw this on sale for $30 with free shipping and I couldn't pass that up. I swear, Amazon had to lose money on this transaction because it's 12 pounds and shipping was $15, but they paid it, not me.
Anyway, this is a really nice product. I've used it and the chips are good quality which is to be expected. It comes with two decks of cards, a dealer chip, and a big blind and a little bind chip - none of which we used, but it was only the three of us. The inner lining is felt-like and the case is very sturdy and well made.

I was hesitant to purchase this product given some of the negative reviews, but I am very glad I purchased the item after all. The poker set came in PERFECT conditions. No dents to the casing, nothing broken, perfect. The chips are not the best quality but for home games, you cannot beat the price. I have a buddy who bought a poker set for about $160.00 and even though you can notice the difference in quality, it does not justify spending an extra $120.00 for it. For less than $40.00 and free shipping you cannot beat this. I highly recommend this product. Happy customer!!!
