This product is a great value compared to other tempo trainers that are twice the cost. Some reviews complained about the clip being flimsy, but I don't understand why anyone would even try to use it. The device slides comfortably inside your swim cap and is very durable. I have dropped plenty of times on the deck and it is still ticking. I just use the clip as a protective device for when I have the trainer in my bag. The only flaw to the product is that if you have it in a bag full of stuff it sometimes gets activated and will beep you to death until you turn it off again. Great product, I use it all the time.

The small waterproof device attaches to a swimmer's cap or goggles, where it transmits an audible tempo beep while you swim. The beep, which is loud enough to hear in and out of water, helps you time your strokes for consistency. No more unconsciously slowing down or speeding up; with the Tempo Trainer, you'll swim at a steady, lull-free rhythm. You can also increase the tempo to kick your workouts into high gear or set a comfortable pace for longer distances. The tempo is adjustable to 1/100th of a second.
Although designed for swimmers, the Tempo Trainer also comes with a clip for exercising on dry land. Simply attach it to your shorts, shirt, or iPod and set a brisk pace while running, biking, or performing other activities. Other features include a handy compact size, sonic welding, and an auto shutoff feature that saves battery life.
