I was a bit skeptical when I saw this. I've been bustin' my butt doing crunches and sit-ups and never felt like I was improving. I figured there had to be something better out there. After doing some research, I felt like an ab wheel would probably be best for what I was trying to achieve: stronger ab muscles and a more balanced core.
I looked around this site and a few other ones and I decided this ab wheel was the best one to get based on price and reviews. Reading the reviews, I was concerned about the grip being uncomfortable so I also purchased some weight training gloves that had a fair amount of padding in the palm.
This item arrived about a month ago and I opened it up the same day it arrived. I read the instructions and assembled it and tried it out. I could feel muscles working that I hadn't felt doing sit-ups and crunches. They started burning after the 3rd rep. Definitely a good purchase on my part.
After my first set, I could see why people were complaining about the grips. They made grip-shaped indentations in my hands that left my palms very tender, so I started using the gloves I mentioned earlier and I no longer have that problem. The only pain I feel now is the good kind; mostly in my abs, but also my shoulders.
Overall, I have to say it's hard for me to believe there's a better piece of equipment that works your ab muscles out there. I recommended this product without any reservations other than a good pair of gloves.

so heres the deal... i bought this product over 2 months ago and i also bought one for my girlfriend. we decided who ever had nicer abs at the end of 3 months win the other person's pay check... At this point we dont care about the bet, were too busy enjoying our abs... i have the nicer abs because i didn't have too much fat to loose and she has a very sexy flat stomach... This product really does work if you loose weight and do cardio... the ab wheel strengthens and builds your abs.. to see the abs you need to shed the fat covering them. I used this product everyday starting at 3 sets of 12 reps a day... Remember to keep your back straight or you will get hurt.. i tore my lower abs because i did a rep wrong... she has never hurt herself because she does them slow and right.. so in short it works... if you do this and also do exercises on a ball it really gets you there even faster... the last month thats what i did and it made everything just speed up... i really love this ab product and i have always trusted everlast ( i use to be a Boxer) because they would never invest in crap... so take your time, do the reps right, watch your diet, loose the fat and you'll have a six pack in no time...Customer Review: my best investment in home exercise equipment

Over the years I've purchased all sorts of home exercise equipment from simple weights to a gym-quality treadmill. The exercise wheel has perhaps given me my best return on investment. It's a simple device but it really works. Following the instructions and some online recommendations, I started out easy. Even with initially scaled back use I really worked my abs and felt it the next day. My wife started laughing when she saw me working out with the wheel. I challenged her to do a few. She was feeling her abs for the next few days!
After a solid month with the Duo Exercise wheel and gradually working my way up to more reps, I can see the results in the mirror. Some pretty good definition developing.
For $9.99 on Amazon I would highly recommend giving the Everlast Standard Duo Exercise Wheel a try. It's simple to use and requires only a few minutes a day to achieve noticeable results.

After going around Amazon looking for the best Ab Wheel, reading every review, I believe I've finally chosen the right one. It's made with very durable quality (which I doubt the other Ab Wheel's were made with just by their flimsy looks). The only con with this ab wheel (as some other people have mentioned) is the grips. The grips are hard to install, and rough on the hands, but once you get the hand grips on, they wont fall off, and two simple hand-towels will do the trick for the hand grips (cover the grips with hand towels and you've got yourself a brand new *comfortable* grip).
Overall, I'm glad I bought this ab wheel. It's a great alternative to similar methods, and makes you feel great about your body after a hard workout with it. You should be able to see the difference in your abs within a month or two (I'm already noticing some difference with mine).

It's a fine example of the tried-and-true classic: the ab wheel.
The two plastic wheels slide onto the center of the handle. The handles are made of a hollow steel tube. Slip-on handlebar grips give you a secure hold on the device and serve to hold everything together.
The tread is nothing more than hard plastic, so make sure not to use it on your priceless antique Persian rug unless you want to cut the rug to ribbons.
Ab wheels are one of the best ways to develop a strong core. Follow Everlast's directions -- which teach you how to progress from easy versions of the movement to more difficult ones -- and you'll soon be rolling your way to victory (and beyond)!
