What a great value for four NiMH batteries PLUS charger. You'd pay this price for a charger alone. These batteries are working great in my digital camera which was just EATING my NiCd's alive. Hi there, after I wrote the review below this one, I've found out that these batteries will drain their charge over time when not left in the charger for their trickle charge. I replaced the batteries in my palm pilot with some that were charged 9 days earlier, unfortunately, the batteries had only retained 25% of the charge. The charger literature has a brief statement about leaving the batteries in the charger to ensure performance... I figured this was more for reasons of battery loss than charge degradation. So, I'll stick by the recommendation that they are worth the money, however, don't count on them if you need to take them away from the charger for a long time.Customer Review: Slow charging but great for travel

I am giving this charger a 4 star rating since it does take 12 hours or so to charge a new uncharged battery and around 8 hours to recharge. However, it is a very ultra light and compact charger, making it a great choice for traveling. This charger does not have the bulky and heavy AC/DC adapter that other chargers have - it plugs directly to the outlet. I put a set of 4 batteries to charge every night before retiring and they are ready in the morning ... a 4 battery set usually lasts for a whole day of taking pictures while sight-seeing. I also recommend the long lasting Eneloop Sanyo rechargeable batteries.Customer Review: nope

radioshack sells FOUR rechargable Rayovac alkalines for 6.50- Rayovac i believe has been known for its good rechargable batteries, and they have no memory problems.
