Sports reviews of Eagnas Portable Racket Stringing Machine Flex 100 - Free String and Stringing ToolsCustomer Review: You Can Spend your money better Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
This stringer exemplifies perfectly the phrase "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR". I recently bought this stringer because I grew up using a Klipper with similar design to this but was tempted by the low price tag and the "FREE STRING" but it was a mistake:
1 The part you hold/slip the string into to hold it in order to pull located at the base of the arm that holds the drop weight slips every time you need to put tension into the string as you lock it in to get a "true pull" it slips and you have to turn it around back into position.
2 The calibrations are printed on a sticker hence easily damageable; the sticker is exactly like over grip-tape/electrical-tape with the calibrations printed on i;, its tape how long do you think it will last?! The could have engraved it on the drop-weight arm/lever.
3 The tension is false even if you are an experience stringer. I know this is true for any machine but this design is just poor. There is too much forced lag string (1'+ at least) between the racquet frame and the crank such that you lose all the "pull" to the 1' long piece running to the crank. Another sure way to tell that the tension is false is to simply play with your usual tension strung from a different machine but an experience player does not need to do that.
4 The shipping packaging, for a precision machine, is bad! When I got the box, it was heavily damaged including the Styrofoam in the box took a beating. It did not look professional.
5 I know the string is free but the reason why Gamma/Wilson/Babolat give out free string is so that you are sampling their product with hope to increase clientele not deter clientele. The string is of such poor quality that I strung 3 racquets and and broke all strings in 4 games! That is disappointing and it is misleading to buyers when you say you "will give free string" the assumption is that they are getting stuff they can actually use. I spend 2hrs stringing broke the strings to all 3 racquets in -20 minutes! That is ridiculous and deceptive and shady at so many levels!
I am returning the one I got. DO NOT BUY this stringing machine. If you are on a budget, wait till you have enough money to invest in a Gamma/Prince/Lobster/Klipper or what ever is on that market that is tried and tested. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I blame myself for being cheap now I have to pay restocking and shipping fees.
