This was recommended by my Chiro, and really gives a workout to my hand (grip) wrist, forearm, upper arm and even shoulder.
A little tricky to get started, and you need to get it moving at a good clip for the gyro to kick in but once it does it will start humming and a few minutes of use and the keyboarding cramps are all worked out of you arms!
Now the question is, do I want one for the office and one for at home :)

I thought this thing looked cool from the beginning but I could never really get it going... well, today I tried it and it actually worked... the first few times I used the string but after about twenty tries I even hand started it... this thing is awesome if you give it a chance to figure it out... it's a very meditative experience when you figure it out... and it REALLY works your hand and forearm muscles (don't over do it)!Customer Review: So simple a child can use it

Incredible forearm and wrist exercise for virtually any level. It may take a little practice to get is started, but don't quit and write a bad review. Once you've got it, you'll have a hard time hanging on to it and an even harder time putting it down. (I don't recommend this item to individuals lacking the basic coordination required to tie your shoes, however. This is a very good product. I climb and within five minutes on each hand my forearms were burning. I have since figured out how to scale the speed down and increase duration, but this thing does provide a real forearm workout. I have seen some comments about having trouble getting started, but I had it humming along by my third pull of the string. This is a GREAT exercise tool if you want to exercise your forearms, wrists, hands, and fingers. There are NO batteries, you can exercise while doing other things, and you are in complete control so you can exercise as intensely or as gently as you want. By switching back and forth, right side for a while, left side for a while, right, left, etc., you can exercise for as long as you want. What a great idea.
