Sports reviews of Dynaflex Pro Sports Gyro Wrist ExerciserCustomer Review: Like Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This gizmo came in the mail today; I took it to the gym with me and did twenty minutes per hand while on the treadmill, moving my arms in different positions to see what muscle groups I could reach. I can tell that I'm going to be way sore from my forearms to my shoulders tomorrow. There's something kind of hypnotic and pleasing about working this thing. I'd like to get a second and try both hands at once. Though getting the 2nd one started might be a problem with one hand occupied. Hmm.
Anyway, obviously some people have had trouble getting theirs started. I think it may be the case that some people have an instinctive feel for the mechanism and others don't. My wife couldn't keep it spinning at all; my 6-year-old daughter caught the trick as soon as I handed it to her. Just one of those things.
I'm psyched to have found such a small and portable and effective exercise gadget.
Customer Review: Looks like a toy, but this is real. Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This thing is really cool. It looks like a toy, but it really is a piece of exercise equipment.
I've noticed big improvements in my grip and forearm strength. I used to have to get out the electronic jar opener out to open jars of sauce, now that thing is collecting dust and I can pop it off without much of a problem.
A little bit of a warning, you should ease into it. One of the first few times I used it, I was just sitting there on the recliner and was basically playing with this in my left hand with the TV remote in my right. Flipping channels and not even thinking about my left hand. The next day, my forearm was so sore. I didn't think that I was even really using it.
With the included string it is not hard to start, just takes one or two times to learn how to get it going. Then you can do it watching TV in the Recliner.
Customer Review: Excellent! Helped me control RSI, Tendinitis Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I used to have tendinitis in my right hand aggravated due to my computer use. The medical opinion was to get surgery done to alleviate the symptoms. But I was not having any of that.
So, there I was, one fine night, watching late night television, when on comes this ad/infomercial about this product. I decided to give it a shot.
IT WORKED! I religiously worked on this for almost a month and half and slowly I could see my muscle grow bigger and taking more load. Then when it got to a point when this workout was very easy, I upgraded to its heavier metal cousin and BOY, does it make my muscles work!
Its great! I HIGHLY recommend it! And BTW, NO, I AM NOT compensated for this endorsement nor am I in any way associated with this company or anything in this industry. I am just a computer nerd, who used to have tendinitis.
Customer Review: Fun and unusual space age toy Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This is a really cool toy that comes with somewhat of a learning curve. Getting it started is the hard part- it can take several hours to figure it out. The trick to getting it going is, to have it spinning pretty fast to begin with. It is almost impossible without using the red starting string they provide.
I use it mostly as a toy while sitting behind the computer to exercise a little as well. It reminds me of the old gyroscopic toys that were popular in the seventies. After a few minutes of keeping it going you can feel some muscle fatigue- which is a sign of the exercising effect. Almost all of my friends were intrigued by the novelty effect! It makes a great ice breaker and conversation starter for newly arrived guests. Just spin it up and put it into their hands... Some scream and drop it and others can't put it down!
Customer Review: awesome Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
i was a little skeptical that this would actually work my hand out, but i was way wrong. after just a couple seconds you can feel it start to burn ( at a slow pace), i can barely hold it at a high pace for a couple seconds.
i was also confused as to what actually spun inside the ball. the wheel inside rotates on its axis, and those bearings rotates around the black rubber grip.
i haven't figured out how to start it without the string yet. some of their "karate chop" methods seem a little hard on the bearings... idk, just seems like a bad idea.
i bought this with a 7 lb "gripmaster" (same store). it was $[...] total for both. great buy.
