Sports reviews of Duracell Daylite LED Flashlight with AAA BatteriesCustomer Review: Super Value Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I have the AA version of this light as well and this one is even better in my opinion. I use a flashlight daily in my work, so I need one that is dependable. From time to time I drop, leave behind or otherwise abuse the poor things, so I need one that can take some punishment and not cost too much to replace. This little light fits the bill in every respect. With the triple A's you get a compact light that fits in your pocket, tool box, and glove compartment nicely. The zoom feature and cap switch are operable with one hand (unlike the Maglites which require you to use both hands to turn them on or focus). I loand one to my neighbor recently and she said I won't be getting it back she likes it so well... All in all a great value, just becareful who you loan it to.

This is a very nice, compact flashlight. It produces an exceptionally bright, clean, wide, even light. The aluminum case looks good and feels good to the touch. The switch on the end has a nice feel and is easy to use.
In a 2008 review, another reviewer wrote that the button is to recessed into the base to operate cop-style with one's thumb. This is not true in 2010. The button is recessed just enough to keep the end completely flat so you can easily stand the flashlight on it's end. This allows you to use it indoors as an emergency lamp, bouncing the beam off the ceiling. The button is easy to press cop-style with your thumb or index finger.

I'm a flashlight junkie who has everything from Maglights to Surefires. This flashlight offers a lot for a reasonable price: LED illumination, aluminum body, focusing head, it's bright, well constructed and has a flat base so you can stand it vertical for lighting a room or confined area. Although I've only had it for a short time, I anticipate it will hold up well. It appears Duracell makes a version that uses CR123 batteries; however Amazon sells this through partners and I usually stay with Amazon stocked products. I'll probably give it a try if and when Amazon stocks it.

I love this flashlight. I have had the mag light 2D cell and 4D cell with LED replacement bulbs and this little AAA flashlight is so much brighter. As for the comments about the spot to flood function not doing anything, I have to disagree, there is a big difference in the spot and flood, flood is very useful for looking down a dark hallway. I love the fact that there are no dark spots in the light like in a normal light bulb,
Couldn't praise this thing enough, so worth the money. Am looking to buy the one with the CR 123 bateries.
Customer Review: its great Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I really like the AAA daylite, its ridiculously bright, and the bottom on/off button is a nice change of pace to the standard on/off head twist of comparably sized maglites which are no where near as bright. It feels heavy and durable in my hand, though I suspect slightly less durable then a maglite. However, I have no idea about durability of an LED vs the bulb technology in a maglite so it very may well be equally or more durable. If you want BRIGHT and durable its worth the extra ten bucks.
