My son got this target as a Christmas present this year. We went out on a day my husband had off from work, set it up quickly (taking note from some former reviewers - we tried to get it as level as possible) While it was slightly off level and the last target didn't always stay up, the target did it's job. It was obvious when you had hit it, even if it didn't stay up, that just meant an extra shot for the boys. It has heightened both of my sons' interest in something their father enjoys. Which makes it a win in my book. The target seems extremely sturdy to me... I don't understand how it could have fallen apart after one shot. I suppose it could be torn up if you shot the thinner pieces around the pivot points, but if you're hitting there, you should really work on your shooting. The decals did get destroyed and the paint comes off when hit by a bullet, but I don't understand what the other reviewer expected. For me, the target works exactly as it's supposed to, and we love it. We may even buy some of the other targets offered by this company so we can line them up and all shoot together.
Description of Do-All Outdoors .22 Auto Reset Target
The Do-All Traps (.22) model (Model #SS6022), which is made specifically for soft nosed .22 caliber pistol and rifle shooters. This unit has a hands free resetting system. As the bullet strikes each target, the force spins the target over to the vertical position. To reset the system, simply shoot the reset target or each individual target and begin another round of practice or competition. The Do-All Traps (.22) is a best buy in the shooting sports industry.Made specifically for soft-nosed .22-caliber pistol and rifle shooters, the Do-All Outdoors auto-reset target lets you practice your shooting without heading to the range. The auto system is a breeze to use. In its starting position, all four of the individual high-visibility targets are arranged in the lower position. As a bullet strikes a target, however, the force spins the target upright and locks it into a vertical position. And when all four targets are vertical, you can either shoot each target again or simply shoot the reset target, which drops all four at once for another round of practice or competition. The auto reset target--which is forward leaning to deflect the bullets downward for increased safety--comes with stabilizing ground spikes.
