Sports reviews of Dance Dance Revolution Super NovaCustomer Review: Way too expensive Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
Don't waste your time, this is a blatant ripoff. The company that manufactured the design of the machine did a horrendous job. The pads are very difficult in terms of response. Even playing on brand new machines I find that I have to force a disproportionate amount of weight on each pad for it not to issue a "decent" or "miss." The song list is mediocre, which would guarantee a few days of entertainment, but after that it is something that you would find collecting dust within weeks. DDR is a great game, but out of the series Supernova with a 18,000 price tag is something to be avoided. DDR Extreme, the series that preceded Supernova, has a much larger song list with a much more frugal price (~4,000) with excellent pad and machine design. Better yet is a game entitled In The Groove. If you can get your hands on dedicated cabinet, that is an ITG2 machine, the pads and sensors are immaculate with excellent song selection and capabilities to upload your own songs and edits. It comes with a worthwhile ~$10,000 price tag if you can locate one, which is worth the cost because you can simply download all the steps and songs FROM DDR supernova, put them on a flash drive, and play them on your ITG2 dedicated cabinet. Do your research and know when you're being duped.
Customer Review: STILL a TERRIBLE game... Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
In The Groove definitely has more originals than this game does. Most of this game's songs come from their IIDX games. In The Groove is DEFINATELY ALL original stepfiles, most of the songs are original, and some are common techno songs.
Still... ITG you can add songs to, DDR you cant. Thats a huge fail right there. and always will be.
Im sorry but i dont want to be stuck with the same 100 something songs for the rest of my life. or even pay for a few thousand dollar upgrade down the road, just for some new songs and a new theme when i can do that myself on an ITG machine.
Konami takes no time with their games. Supernova 2 is already coming out and its only been like a year.... not even. How terrible that will be...
DDR has dumb songs like... Oops i did it again. Gee... like who the heck would want to play that song? besides some little teenybopper who is terrible at the game.
In my opinion, beginners suck. A serious player would not buy this game, and a real arcade would not buy this game from amazon...
ITG > DDR Always.
Im sorry, but i dont appreciate konami's auto generated steps. that just doesnt please me.
Customer Review: Horrible game Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
I personally love machine dance games. But this one is terrible. I've disliked konami completely ever since the settlement of their lawsuit against RoXoR Games. They did that just because they were jelous that In The Groove was much better and the machines were just better quality than theirs.
I definatly suggest In The Groove 2 (as i personally own an In The Groove 2 machine myself, and love it) over this piece of junk.
Songs are off sync, you need a CD to update it. It's just horrific. If you can find one, definitely go for In The Groove
Customer Review: A bit too pricey. Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
If you own an arcade and you're looking for a DDR machine, that would probably be your ticket. However, I would even go as far as to suggest an In the Groove machine, mainly because you can hack the mainframe and put all the Supernova songs on it anyway. :) Cheaper too.
But I think if you're a home player, I think your best bet is to buy the game for the PS2 and buy a few good-quality metal mats. It's similar to the arcade experience without all that money down the drain.
Customer Review: Good Price....NNNNOT Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
Maybe if this was the price of the "You Save" amount then it might be worth it. But for the amount of a decent car, I do not suggest anyone even give this a second thought. The price might be a joke, if it is its pretty good, if not, this might be the most idiotic price ever.
