Sports reviews of Dance Dance Revolution Super NovaCustomer Review: Still Think It's a Great Game Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Hi,
I would have to strongly disagree with mDaWg about the machine. While ITG is much harder than DDR, DDR has been out for a much longer time and keeps its popularity going with DDR Supernova. True that some of the songs are off sync, but ITG also has some problems and isn't flawless. I think that Konami is definitely trying to work harder, and I applaud them for it. This is a great game, and if you have the money for the game, it is a great idea to invest it into this game, especially if you love music games!

Customer Review: Fun Machine Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
As far as ITG machines being better quality, that is honestly a lie. Since ITG machines were mostly over hauled DDR machines to begin with. As far as quality is concerned all the DDR machines in our area are in very good shape when they arrive at an arcade but all the ITG machines have sticky buttons faded screens etc and these are machines that supposedly came directly from RoXor games. I have played many beat games and DDR is great for Beginners. If you want a challenge don't even bother with ITG it's just a waste of time The songs are not as fun; the graphics are substandard; and the machines are very poor quality. Try Pump It Up instead it is just as fun as DDR and has just as high quality machines and songs the only difference is that there are 5 panels instead of 4. There are of course many others but these are the main ones I've seen in arcades. The DDR Supernova machine did have it's flaws but they are easily fixable according to my friend who just called Konami and was sent the patch to fix it. As far as buying a machine for home use at all: I would highly discourage any but the most devoted DDR fans from doing so. You can buy some very nice hard pads like the ones from [...] or the ones from [...] then invest in some of the home games. You can get both the american and japanese ones plus some great eruopean mixes too right here at amazon. Happy Dancing!
Customer Review: It feels good to finally have a new arcade version of DDR. Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
Supernova is a pretty decent machine. The seems right(with all the licensing they do to make these games, you'd have to expect atleast this much). I've been playing DDR since 2004 and think It's the best foot rhythm game todate. In the grove is ok and pump it up....i just hate the 5-panel and menu intergration. A lot of people think In the Grove is a better game just because the steps for the songs are hard, which doesnt make the game itself good. There isn't any orignality with the songs or steps. Every song is just some generic techno. At the highest diffuclty all the songs play the same, no matter how the song sounds. I do like sound quality of the system though. its among the best. The pad is nicely made as well. to put it simply, DDR just provides a funner experience. when i play in the grove all i think is why am I doing these steps and when will the song be over.
Customer Review: Arcade Machines are Expensive Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
And this is what they cost. Those whining about the price: THIS IS WHAT YOU PAY! Used machines are cheaper but for a brand new one, that price is about right. About the machine itself: I dont own one or have played this version but most DDR machines are sturdy and reliable. Especially for a machine that gets pounded on.
