This is my third trail camera since about 2003. The first was a 35mm film model that produced some great results and was dependable, but very expensive to operate. The second was a very expensive brand that produced very good images at 5.0 mpix, but had a lag time of at least a second no matter what settings I used.
The Cuddelback Capture was purchased right after they came out and has been used under just about every weather condition possible in Kansas. It has taken thousands of images, and very seldom is there a blank image. I use it for wildlife research and to monitor warm-blooded animals near my home and along a nearby creek. I have gotten great photos of many coyotes, bobcats, fox, deer, and of course the more common critters like skunks, opossums, raccoons, squirrels, cottontails, and a variety of birds. It has captured images of animals as small as native mice and very small birds too. I have had several of the images printed as 5x7's and they have all been very sharp with good color and exposure. The range is close to 50', but the best images are usually taken about 10-30 feet in front of the camera
The camera has a very long battery life and is extremely easy to use. I can not think of a single thing to complain about in regard to this camera, and I am going to be ordering a second one so I can monitor two areas at once.
