I've been using this bag heavily for over a year now and it has held up very nicely. I use it to transport my entire scuba setup: bcd, mask, fins, and my reg bag. The straps have shown no sign of ripping off which was something I was initially concerned with. The only advice I would give is to be careful of sliding your bag or other people sliding it as a friend who also has the bag now has a tear in the bottom of theirs.
