This is a great option for people who want to work on doing chin ups or pull ups. It's better than a regular chin up bar because you can put it in your room and crank a few out every time you walk under it. The only caution I advise is that you make sure your top door trim is not more than three inches high. My house is a custom made log home so we did six inch trim around all the doors. Because it's rustic I just cut my trim in half and it works great. Just be aware that you will need standard trim for this to work right. Overall it is a wonderful product and works great. Very nice comfortable grip pads make it comfortable on you hands. I highly recommend this product.Customer Review: Super simple chin-up bar

It couldn't be much easier. Quick assembly: the manufacturer provides a wrench to tighten four bolts. And you're ready to go. In truth, you need to be sure to use the correct screws (2 long and 2 short) in the correct places. This isn't detailed in the instructions, but not hard to figure out. I didn't think it was worth deducting a star.
Once assembled it takes a couple seconds to hang in a doorway. When finished it just lifts off and can be set aside. Leave it up if you don't mind having a chin-up bar in the doorway all the time. Some of the original door moldings in our house seem especially cheap and thin but the bar hangs fine.

The door gym works with most walls. Unfortunately, I cannot use it downstairs with the wall thickness being over 8" but it does work upstairs where the walls are about 4". The height of my door is about 6'5" so I can't do pull ups without having to curl up my legs to keep me off the floor. I would not consider it a portable gym because it is a bulky product once assembled and it doesn't fold in any way. If it does work for your door, it will serve it's purpose and I've been very satisfied with it. It serves bonus features as a push-up bar and a sit up spotter which I haven't tried since I prefer leg lifts and the Perfect Push Up.Customer Review: Easy Assembly, Installs & Uninstalls in Seconds, and Actually Works!

I was skeptical at first because their claims sounded too good. I thought I'd give it a try since I can always return it when I order from Amazon. It arrived in a box with a few screws and a diagram. It took a couple of minutes to assemble with no tools, and super easy to install, literally in seconds. I was worried that it will break the doorway with the weight pulling on it, especially when my husband tried it, but I guess door frames are sturdy enough to hold up that much weight. Not that I can actually do a single pull up without a chair. Amazing how much workout you can get out of such a simple and small equipment.Customer Review: Great little piece of equipment

This is very useful for me.. I use it for pullups, chinups and the hammerhead-type pullups. My townhouse is made up of the cheapest materials ever and this doesn't damage my door or frame at all.. there's no even any black marks. I weigh 175 if it matters.. but I think it can support wayyy more than that.
I also use it for pushups.. it's great because you can perfect your form with it and it's pretty tough too.
If I was living in the states, it would be an even better buy because then I wouldn't have to pay so much to ship it.
But all in all, I am very satisfied with it.
