Sports reviews of Confidence Fitness Space Saving X BikeCustomer Review: Question raised - chain seems to be rattling Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Another update to the review below: the bike is making rattling noise up front in the wheel section. Anyone else have this problem? And how do I fix this?
I'm petite and bad at putting ikea furniture together so I had some misgivings about the easiness of assembling this bike. I needn't have worried. Except for it being a bit heavy for me, I had together, by myself, no husband or anyone helping me, in under 30 minutes.
Shipping was a reasonable length of time and the bike itself is beautifully smooth, sturdy and quiet. I love it!
And it's such a great workout! I love it!
UPDATE 5/5/08
I tried using it to exercis emy arms and upper body by kneeling in front of it and cycling with my arms, and I really feel the workout, especially in my triceps. I could barely manage 3 1/2 minutes. I do plan on building this into each workout so that the upper body gets some exercise too.
Customer Review: Great Bike for the money Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought this bike about a week ago and it is fantastic. I was skeptical at first because of the fact that it was cheaper than most bikes and that it folds up, but I am glad to say that I was wrong. This bike is bang for the buck. I am limited in space so it works out perfect for me. Putting the bike together was fairly easy, but I do have to say the peddles did give me a little of problem. When putting them on make sure your facing the bike, trust me it makes a world of difference. Also when you put the handle bars on make sure you first put the arm for the monitor on first. By doing this you are saving yourself the torture of unscrewing those long screws out and back in again. The only con I have is that the seat is a little uncomfortable, so I recommend that you go out and buy a gel seat pad between 15 and 20 bucks. All in all this is a great bike and worth the money.
Customer Review: So far, it's great! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
After reading the other reviews posted here, I ordered this bike on 6/18 and received it on 6/20 (today!). Put it together easily in 1/2 hour, and put the first 2 miles on it - at level 8 - in another 10 minutes. I was looking for an indoor cycle I can use after I have surgery which will prevent me from cycling outside for a few months. Also wanted something to ride in the winter when it's too cold and snowy outside. I can not only ride this bike as fast or as slow as I like, but I'll be able to hold a book or watch a movie and still be cyclin'! Level 8 is perfect, with just enough resistance to make me work at it. I can pedal my little heart out and work up a sweat or take it easy and still feel it. I found the seat to be well padded and comfortable. Not for the hard-core cyclist, but for someone just starting out - or with a need like mine - it's a nice unit.
Customer Review: Love it. Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I read a lot of reviews and this bike seemed to be just right for what I wanted. However, I was nervous about assembly and construction. After my online hunting, I ended up finding one locally. I purchased it used at a discount and I cannot believe how great it is. I am a fairly hefty person I think and it has held my weight just fine. I also bicycle regularly and was concerned that even though I am a bit out of shape that this might not give me enough work out. However, on only setting 3 I am getting a great aerobic workout for about 30 minutes a day. Loving it. I also purchased the TKO mini trampoline here through Amazon to compliment and vary my workout routine. Loving them both. And as an aside, consider getting an actual bike basket for the front of the bike. Works wonders for holding remotes, etc. Love the space saving design too. Enjoy the ride!
Customer Review: It's really good Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I've had this bike for under a month now and the entire household loves it. My 11 year old pedals away while watching TV. My husband has a music stand set high up to hold his computer and exercises while reading his email. I catch up on TV or books. It was really easy to put together. (I'm just okay at assembling things and I had it done it an hour. Everything was marked and matched the pictures.) It doesn't take up much room. It's quiet and it just works. Even the little computer works fine--it's the generic exercise computer that seems to be on all inexpensive exercise machine these days. I've had exercise bikes that cost 2 to 3 times what this one did, and did not work as well. I'm very surprised and very happy. Thanks to all who posted thoughtful and helpful reviews. (I bought the bike and a gel seat at the same time because of them.)
