About Coleman More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark. In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.
Sports reviews of Coleman Two-Burner Propane StoveCustomer Review: Propane stove Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I have this stove hooked to a "tree" along with my propane lantern and both are working out fine. I like the fact that both burners put out the same amount of heat and I don't have to switch the pans back and forth on the burners. I can just adjust each burner to the heat that I want and cook right on. I would not hesitate to buy another one when I need it.
Customer Review: Coleman propane camp stove Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
We used our new stove for the first time while camping for a week at an elevation of 7500 feet. One propane cylinder lasted for 8 2-course meals and hot water for clean-up (extra for cleaning us up) and many large pots of coffee. It always lit on the first try, and it cleaned up easily.
I can't imagine tent camping without a Coleman stove.

Just wanted a small reliable unit for occasional camping trips; it is very compact, throws out plenty of heat; Pros are good price, brand name. Cons: not being able to store the propane bottle inside the box like older camping stoves, and you need a match or lighter. Other pricier models have ignitors built in. I like this item!
Customer Review: worked like a charm Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I've always used technical, packable stoves. They were lightweight, but took a long time to heat. This product worked like a charm - it heated everything up, from chili in the evening, to the coffee in the morning in no time. The parts seemed durable and we had no problem on our overnight canoe trip.
Customer Review: Cooking at home paid for the stove Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I purchased this stove because of the frequent power failures we have had the last two months. This stove cooks food faster than our electric stove and has paid for itself by us not having to go out to eat. It is easy to use and gives us comfort knowing it is available should we need it.
