We were going tenting for the first time with 5 kids.This is one of the best acessories we could have purchased.My kids have a fascination with flashlights, so they are never where I leave them and I didn't want anything with a flame anywhere near the tent.We mounted this light over the door of the tent and had light whenever we needed it. I bought two for my cooler (mounted inside the cooler) when I night fish on the Surf and in my camper. The bulb does drain the batteries pretty quickly. This is what I did, I went Walmart and bought a mult volt LED BULB for 7-9 bucks. The batteries will last about 12-18 hours and is brighter. LED don't burn out and the bulb pays for itself in savings on batteries. Use rechargeable batteries and your set.

I love,love,love,this light.Take my word for it buy this and you will not regret it.I bought this becuase,i'm going backpacking across europe this summer.I took out my gear for a test run this weekend and fell in love with this light.The light really lit up my tent and is easy use.You can put it anywhere in tent or anywhere you need an extra light.This light runs off 4 AA batteries and takes up little space in your bag.

This light is perfect for camping. The magnet is strong and the light is equivalent to 2 medium candles. If you are going to be doing some reading, bring a book light. If you need a cozy, soft light to help you find your shoes for late night nature calls....it's perfect. We had no problem with the magnet, batteries or "dimness." This is a nice little light. Very strong magnet that keeps it where you want it. We use it on the cargo net inside the top of our little tent. It gives off plenty of light, enough to read a book at night. Also the magnet allows us to stick it to the beams in our ez-up and use it over the picnic table at the camp site.
