Lantern, Retro Full Size, RechargeableTired of camping lanterns that burn through batteries like nobody's business? Turn to the Coleman rechargeable lantern, which offers up to nine hours of runtime on a single charge. The family-size lantern features an 11-watt fluorescent spiral U-tube bulb that shines brightly regardless of its locale, with a reflector that directs the light upward and outward so more people can enjoy it. Should the bulb burn out, the lantern offers a quick-release lever for easy bulb replacement (an extra tube is included). Most importantly, when the lantern starts to lose power, you can easily recharge the battery via a 120-volt AC outlet or a vehicle's 12-volt DC power port (cords included). That means you can recharge the lantern before leaving on a trip, or you can recharge it at the campsite using your car's lighter port. Other details include an "emergency on" circuit that helps overcome power failures, a built-in nightlight, and a recyclable battery. The lantern--which also runs extremely cool to protect against fires--measures 6.75 by 14 by 8 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 7.78 pounds.

I was very pleased with the quality of this product. I gave my husband and married children the lantern as part of their Christmas. After the hurricane force winds in Ohio last fall which caused eight days without power I wanted all of us to be prepared the next time. The thing they all liked was that this lantern can be recharged in your car. The light is quite bright and comes with an extra bulb. I saw the Colement rechargeable lantern at Dick's Sporting Goods. I've been waiting for an alternative to the old gas lantern and didn't want to have to stock "D" batteries. Ordered through Amazon for $10.00 less than Dick's and as usual, received it in 3 days with free shipping. My 6 year old dragged it all over the camp sight both day and night for a week. this lantern is pretty bright. its required that u charge it 18 hours for the first three cycles. comes with a car charger and a and wall charger. takes like 2 minutes to get to full brightness after u put it on. shines pretty bright much brighter than those led lamps with 12 leds. cauz i had bought a led lamp from the weather channel with 12 led lights but this one is tripple the brightness of that one sooo definately recommendCustomer Review: FUNCTIONAL AND ATTRACTIVE

When I first received this item, I was amazed at how hefty it was and how well built and attractive it was to boot. It is an item I am proud to display (not having to hide it until I need it). The night light is very bright although there is not too much difference in lighting between the low and the high settings. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for lighting during a black out.
