It does not, however, work with stem and needle valves, such as those in basketballs, bike tires, etc. For valves other than pinch valves, there's an adapter nozzle, and for pinch valves there's a separate adapter. My Coleman QuickPump blower came with a housing that had a broken locking tab inside of it. You could hear it bouncing around when you would shake it. At the same time it would not run consistently. I thought this was the broken tab jamming the fan or something else - but I was wrong. After two weeks of disappointment I opened the housing to remove the broken tab and I saw a small label next to the DC 6V charging inlet (on the outside and back end of the housing) that said you have to remove the plug that is in the recharging hole to allow the blower to operate. After doing this the blower works great and all the time. If the tab wasn't broken leaving me to believe this was the problem I would have figured out that this plug must be removed sooner; and, if I would have not received this unit with the broken tab - and the resulting confusion and concern - I would have found this item to be excellent. By the way, I really don't plan to use this blower to inflate air cushions. I will be using it to get fires that use green or wet wood going! Because of the Emerald ash borer, we have to buy local wood which often is not so good. This blower helps me make do!!! My husband and I enjoy camping at secluded sites that do not have water and electricity, however, we found the ground to be overly hard on our aging bodies. I bought this pump almost a year ago and it has made our camping experience much more enjoyable. It is light weight - so easy to transport along with 2 twin mattresses out to our camp site - and it takes less than a minute to inflate the beds. The added bonus is that instead of trying to squeeze the air out the old fashioned way - the pump also easily deflates the beds for efficient packing.
If you want the comfort of an air mattress while enjoying the serenity of primitive camp sites - this rechargeable pump is a must have! Simply let it charge overnight before going on you trip and you should have more than enough power to quickly set-up and break-down you bedding.
I even took this with me to visit my sister. Because of limited space I had to inflate the bed each night, then deflate it each morning to move it out of the way. Even after a week of doing this - the pump performed wonderfully and never had to be recharged!

I purchased the Coleman Rechargeable Quick Pump for our pre-school summer camp. The pump had to be the cordless rechargeable version because we use it away from the buildings - hence no mains electricity supply.
We use it to inflate large paddling/swimming pools etc. Even though it came with a charge in the batter, I followed instructions about the initial battery charging time. I have found the pump to be powerful and efficient. I pumped up 4 large pools and other items very quickly. The battery had plenty of power left. I have also used it for deflating the pools. I would recommend this pump in any situation where a mains electricity supply is not available. It is noisy, but not as noisy as other none-rechargeable pumps I have used, plus it is a handy size. I just wish they had included a "needle" valve for inflating giant bouncy balls.

I've had this pump for 9 months and have used it to inflate air mattresses of all sizes (2 to 4 mins time), pool toys, soccer equipment, swimming pool bumper, etc.
Charge the pump and eliminate stringing extension cords across the yard/house to reach the item needing inflated. Pump holds a charge for an hour or more of air & keeps charged in the closet while not being used. Safer for kids to use - no power cords accidently running thru water. Has a nice variety of expanders & contractors to change air flow size - haven't had to rig up any extras out of my turkey baster lately.
The pump is useful for a variety of tasks, lightweight, nicely balanced, and eliminates the need for disposable batteries. Overall, great choice.

After buying a coleman inflateable kayak, I figured that an electric pump would be a wise decision. It proved not only to be a a lifesaver but also a worthwhile investment:
-pumps anything up pr deflates in a matter of seconds
-comes with all of the attachments you will need
-charge lasts for 2 or 3 large flotation devices on one charge (inflating and deflating)
-Saves you on physical labor
-Relatively quite for all it does - but certainly loud enough to wake someone if activated right beside them.
***BOTTOM LINE: This is a product that saved me considerable effort and time when it was cricial. For the price you pay for it, this is a real no brainer buy***
