The Coleman King-Sized Quickbed is a great choice for camping, overnight guests, or anywhere you need a large extra bed. Measuring 79" long by 75" wide when inflated (fitting standard king-sized sheets), the Quickbed is made of heavy-duty, puncture-resistant PVC, with 56 coils inside and a soft suede top for extra comfort. The Quickbed is easy to inflate and deflate, thanks to Coleman's extra-wide Advanced Double Lock Valve. Like all Coleman inflatable products, this Quickbed features Coleman's Airtight System, guaranteed not to leak. And the built-in Wrap 'N' Roll storage system makes packing and storing quick and easy.Large enough to easily accommodate two adults (or four small children), this king-size Quickbed gets its name from Double-Lock valves that allow it to inflate 10 times quicker than air beds with pinch valves. And when morning rolls around you'll find that, thanks to the Double-Lock valves, the air beds deflate 20 times faster as well. I ordered this to put inside a real air bed top mattress because the air mattresses were leaking and I was sick of it... and cannot afford to purchase a whole new king size bed set...
I was counting on it HOLDING AIR for extended periods of time as it is zipped inside of a mattress form with fitted foam. It does for the most part, but I keep the inflator handy. I think it slowly loses SOME air over a week or so, but I'm not sure because of the next reason.
In order to be FIRM, I have to inflate this more for one person than two. Since my other half is an over the road trucker, I'm alone much of the time and have to put more air in it when I'm alone, and let a tiny bit out when it's the two of us. We are each just over 200 lbs each, so it's not compensating for 'huge' people... and it's much better with two people than one as the air distribution is better.
Otherwise, i'd say that this is a good solution and holds air in the long term much better than the one's we use for real camping. You really NEED THE QUICK PUMP though due to the nature of the inflator valve. I was not planning on buying that as I have a rechargable pump for other mattress' but there is no way to get this inflated FIRM without the pump for this air mattress.
