I purchased two of these little fans, after trying to get them in Australia. I was told I was unable to get them anymore. I am happy to say that I was able to get them from Amazon :-)
It Gets very hot here in Australia, and we are planning on camping at the hottest time of the year, so I wanted something that will help with the high heat and I think that with two of these fans though it will still be hot it will help to keep the air moving around in our family tent.
The fans fold into quite a compact size and they can tilt in many different positions. As they run on batteries we can move them around the tent without the problem of cords to trip over. I think we will have many times we can use them around the house so it wont just be when we are camping.
I am very happy with our fans and very happy I was able to still get them from Amazon.

I took this fan to Bonnaroo this year and it worked very well, allowing me to sleep in on those hot Tennessee mornings after staying up late watching some amazing bands.
I haven't used up the first set of batteries yet but have only run it for maybe 4 hours, which really is not too bad. Probably it will run for a good long time.
This fan may not be the quietest but it's ok and a little hum is a worthwhile tradeoff for the lovely cooling breeze it provides.
One warning though, without much to protect the fan blades, don't pack anything tightly against them. I did, they were deformed, and they regained their shape after a little while so no big deal.
Glad I bought it and would do so again.

This little Coleman fan does a good job for its small size. I like that the blades are stiff foam rubber - no whacked fingers, and no extra grill to impede air flow. It's great for small spaces or for setting next to you.
Be realistic though - Obviously, the little thing is not something that would do you much good from across the room in a house/home setting. It's great for a cabin, a tent, a boat, a van; and several notches above the battery powered fans I've seen otherwise. Battery life is surprisingly good - usually battery powered fans are dead in a few hours. Not this one. Another excellent Coleman product.

I purchased this fan to help move the air around in my steam shower, where the floor would get cooler than the ceiling. Knowing that I just needed some kind of battery-powere operation and knowing that this was not the intended use of the fan, I am reporting that the fan works very well in an environment of 120 degree heat and ~100% humidity. While the foam blades held some water which consequently caused them to weigh more and which negatively affected fan speed, the fan itself worked fine for what it is - an inexpensive way to move air with a battery-operated lightweight device.Customer Review: Simple and long lasting

I have had this fan now for 2 years and I don't think I have changed the D batteries once. It is still going strong. With some halfway decent batteries, this fan will fun FOREVER. Now, don't expect this to cool your entire tent down. You would need 20 of these to feel the breeze from across the tent.... but ... on a hot night, having this next to your bed will cool you down enough to make you pretty comfortable. You definitely need one for each camper though...
