I ordered this product when Hurricane Gustav threatened and I used this product after Hurricane Ike knocked out my electricity for several days. It put out such a good flow of air on low, I never needed high speed. It is light enough to carry around and will fit almost any where. I recommended it to many of my friends and they all are planning to get one. I wish I had it after Hurrican Rita when it was unbearably hot.Customer Review: Great fan for the price

This fan is awesome! I would definitely recommend buyers to purchase this fan if they are going on a camping trip. Yes - you do have to place it close to you in order to feel the wind - but it saved me from tossing and turning all night on those windless, hot nights. Totally worth it for the price you pay for it. We use this fan in our boat cuddy cabin. It's attractive & relatively quiet. It moves air well and makes a huge difference in comfort. It's nice and steady due to the weight of the 4 D batteries in the base. The fan can be adjusted up/down on the base to get the direction of air-flow just right. Very very very very nice. I like it alot. I put 4 batteries in it and sat down to play with it for a while to test it out. On low speed it is very good. High speed is super nice but I think I will be using low speed the most near my bed while resting or sleeping. Now I have a fan for those times the power goes off. this fan is lightweight and worked great in my tent to keep me cool while desert camping. it's not super high-powered but it worked well and the batteries lasted the whole week (using it mostly in the morning and sometimes afternoon). the blades are soft because there's no cage, and it's easy to position the fan so it reaches you even on the floor.
